I recently visited Sri Krishna Bhavan (SKB), a vegetarian Indian restaurant, and overall it was a very good experience.

The restaurant was extremely busy when we went, which clearly shows how popular it is. There was a bit of a long wait time for seating and food, but it was completely understandable given the crowd. Even with the rush, the staff did a wonderful job managing everything. They were polite, organized, and tried their best to serve everyone efficiently. The service felt genuine and welcoming, not rushed or careless.

The ambience is one of the best parts of SKB. It has a warm, family friendly atmosphere with a lively yet comfortable vibe. It’s a great place to visit with family and friends, and the energy inside makes the dining experience enjoyable.

For food, we ordered thalis, dosa, dahi vada, and masala vada. The thalis were good and satisfying, offering a nice variety of items. The dosa was well-prepared and tasty. However, both the dahi vada and masala vada were just average compared to the rest of the meal. They weren’t bad, but they didn’t stand out in terms of flavor. Still, overall the food quality was good and enjoyable.

Despite the slight wait and a couple of average dishes, the overall experience from the ambience to the service made it worth the visit. I would definitely come back again, maybe during a less busy time.

Good food and service. Would return to try other dishes. The dosa was crispy, vada had a nice crunch on the outside and soft interior . Thali was okay for one time. It has a variety of things but extremely low quantity. The ones we liked especially weren’t even half filled.

Absolutely loved the experience at Sri Krishna Bhavan. This place truly brings authentic South Indian vegetarian flavors to Bellevue. From soft idlis and crispy dosas to flavorful chutneys and comforting meals, everything tasted fresh and homely.

The Pongal is a must-try — perfectly cooked, mildly spiced, and incredibly comforting, just like homemade. Filter coffee was the perfect way to end the meal. Warm service and a simple, clean ambience make this a place you’ll want to keep coming back to.

Thank you for bringing such authentic flavors to Bellevue. Highly recommend for anyone craving real South Indian food!

I visited Shri Krishna Bhavan in Bellevue for lunch and really enjoyed the food. I had the South Indian meals, and it was a full and satisfying meal. The food tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell it is cooked daily.

There are many other South Indian vegetarian options on the menu as well. The filter coffee was very good.

I also spoke with the owner, who was very kind and passionate about serving fresh South Indian vegetarian food to people in the Greater Seattle area.

This place is a real addition and something special for this area. I will definitely come here again.

I went to this place with high expectations for dosa, as I had read so many good reviews about it. However, I was very disappointed after visiting with my family and seeing the quantity they served for the price they charged for a dosa.

We ordered 1 rasam, 1 spring dosa, 1 Onion rava masala dosa, and 1 idli sambhar. Rasam and idli was okay. The quantity of sambhar for idlis and both dosas was small half katori. “Masala ( potato stuffing) in onion rava masala dosa was like two spoons in the entire dosa of $17 along with a small half katori of sambhar and 3 chutneys. All chutneys were super cold, just like they were served right from fridge.

Spring dosa was very different than what they had displayed in the picture. Spring dosa had a big chunk of cabbage and bell pepper with potato stuffing.

The two stars I am rating are only for humbleness and politeness for the owners who were visiting each table and making sure customer’s order has been served. I couldn’t feel the same humbleness and politeness from one other server there.

Service was super slow as well. I would not recommend visiting this place if you’re going for dosa. It doesn’t make any sense to pay $17-$18 per meal and it doesn’t make you feel full.

Adding photos of the Spring Dosa and Onion Rava Masala Dosa.

We went to Krishna Bhavan with a group of friends which is great coz I got to try so many things. Everything I tasted was divine. I tasted Vada Sambar, multiple different dosas and I had the South Indian thali for myself. Everything was on point! I especially loved their Rasam and Sambar. I have a weakness for good Rasam and it did not disappoint one bit. I highly recommend ordering the Thali so you can taste a good breadth of what the kitchen has to offer. What I really appreciate is that the food felt homemade and super fresh. I didn’t have that heavy feeling that one gets after an Indian meal at typical Indian restaurants. Service was good despite the place being so busy! I ended the meal with nice Chai and my wife had the filter coffee. Perfect way to sum up the meal. We will be going there again for sure!
