I got to go, and then I saw as someone who also got to go sat down at the bar. Granted, I would get if that wasn’t allowed, but two waitresses came over and allows him to sit there. I asked politely if I could also sit and wait for my food that had been ordered 20 minutes ago, and the waitress told me “no, this is only for paying customers only”. I let her know I already ordered, and she looked at me, like I was the one in the wrong. She then asked if I ordered the fried rice…like I know I’m Asian but guys you run a sushi ramen restaurant why the hell would you assume the Asian got fried rice unless you’re racist? Anyways, the lady finally acquiesced to me sitting at the bar (mind you the entire restaurant was empty aside from maybe 2 other patrons). Got my food about 10 min later, I tried to open it, the lid hadn’t been put on right splashing hot soup onto my leg. The Tea egg was cold, the bamboo was alright, the chicken is straight up chewy, breast meat heated up on a microwave and not at all worth it to add, and the noodles are all stuck together like they didn’t even bother to break it apart while cooking. For $24 for the miso ramen I expected better. Like for heck’s sake we’re in an airport, at least serve good food! Anyways, based on the staff that work there, go here if you’re white presenting cus they’ll treat you like a king. But if you’re Asian just go somewhere else bc the staff clearly think we shouldn’t sit at their posh restaurant. Unfortunate, I really had high hopes for this place based on their menu and photos.

Disappointing.

Service was great, food was okay, but really big portions. Clean and quiet restaurant on a weekday afternoon. I got the fried rice with edamame and tofu, I enjoyed it but asked for a side of hot sauce for extra spice.

Service and atmosphere was great.
I ordered dumpling, soy ramen with toppings ($25), and club soda. The food was overpriced, especially for the quality..
Soy ramen was disappointing. The soup was way too salty, and the toppings were bad Bamboo tasted like canned. Marinated egg was hard boiled, and fried tofu was rubbery. The amount of corn was too little. The noodle itself was good though.
Dumpling was deep fried and not special.

The Tonkotsu taste great, it had a rich and full flavor. I added beef to it. The service was prompt. The price is way too expensive but I guess that’s airport food for you.

I go through the MSP airport weekly and usually stop here 3x/month. It’s a great place to eat in the airport. They have a quick to go option or dine in with ample outlets. The sushi quality is great given the location but expect to pay the usual airport prices. Sadly, they really downsized their menu for sushi rolls. Cest la vie.

New menu is a ripoff. I’ve gotten the tonkatsu ramen in the past and it was good. But this time they’ve raised the price and took out the pork! Now you have to pay even more to get it extra. Completely overpriced.

I’m not a fan of restaurant who only accept online order as I prefer interaction with waiters to get more info on the foods. I tried their ramen & overall it’s ok. The broth is good, noodle quality not bad, toppings are minimum. It’s enough to get a little comfort food while waiting for the flight

This place looks good and authentic; but my Tonkotsu ramen was terrible. My broth tasted like straight sesame oil and not like the delicious pork broth. This is probably the worst ramen I’ve had hands down. I would’ve sent it back but I was starving from traveling all day and had to catch my flight. Service was good; they were slightly busy.
The gyoza was delicious though.
Don’t recommend the ramen.

During a long lay over I had yummy food at Shoyu. Tables have an outlet so it was a perfect for biz and food. Teref, my waitress was very friendly and provided a good service. I ordered green tea and Spicy godzilla roll (spicy Hamachi, Salmon, Tuna, shrimp, crab, avocado with unagi sauce). It was delicious.

It’s airport ramen, so it may not be the best ramen you’ve ever had but it’s great during a layover! Writing this review because every time I’m through this airport, the staff are always exceptionally kind, chatty (if you’re up for it!) and funny. Just glowing staff and it always cheers me up during a travel day! I’m from Wisconsin so it’s not like I’m a coastie being shocked by friendly midwest service. It’s also very quiet there which is nice.
