Given how long this place has been in business, I am amazed how consistently good in terms of food quality and service they have been. There is a two hour limit on our reservation, but we didn’t have any issues. We were able to order multiple rounds of food and drinks for the four of us. We didn’t feel rushed. The service was efficient and friendly. We got all we wanted within the two hour window.

Everything here is super authentic. I really enjoyed the seafood zosui. The beef and chicken bowls are perfectly size for sharing and well flavored. If you come during weekends you may have to wait but there’s always available bar seating.

The food here is fantastic, their menu isn’t Americanized and there are a ton of options to choose from. The sushi is insanely fresh, and was very well prepared. If you do get sushi, make sure to get the Spicy tuna maki inside out roll. It’s the best one I’ve ever had at a Japanese restaurant, period. The nigiri portions were also very generous for their pricing. One of the sushi chefs even gave me the recipe for the way they do their spicy tuna roll, which was super nice of him to do.

This was my first time trying Japanese food and one thing I can say is this place is definitely authentic. All the staff seemed to be Japanese and they will absolutely incredible. Very kind, very accommodating and took time to explain what the menu items meant. I got the rice and chicken bowl. I’m sorry I can’t remember what it was called in Japanese but it was pretty good and it was a reasonable price. It was about $14. It wasn’t the best chicken bowl I’ve ever had, but it was good and I tried some of my friends sushi which was incredible. I also tried some eel as well which was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I think this place is definitely worth a try. If you love Japanese food, you can go in knowing that this is actually run by Japanese people.

ROACHES!! I found 2 roaches that crawled on my table. I notified the waiter and had us moved. After 10-15mins later, they sat another couple in that SAME table. DID NOT WIPE OR ANYTHING after us. Kitchen was dirty was well. Expected better customer service than this.
Used to LOVE this restaurant 3-5 years ago. Food was so good. Now, it doesn’t taste as fresh or as high quality. We tried multiple dishes- worst one was the katsu curry. Tasted like pre-made Japanese curry. This dish used to be my favorite here.

I got to try multiple dishes and loved them all! All of the skewers were hot off the grill and cooked well. I ordered and recommend the shishito peppers, tako tsunomo, koebi karaage, grilled mackerel, and eggplant appetizer! Their taiyaki dessert was so delicious.
I always try to eat here when I visit ATL, and I will be coming back! One of my favorite restaurants ever!

My friend and I feasted here and didn’t break the bank. The menu is very extensive and we had a hard time deciding what to get! With the help of the server and pictures on the menu and we were able to find a good line up of items to try. We had the Pirikara Kyuri (Spicy Cucumber), Special Yakisoba (potato, egg, & noodles), 5 skewer set (with chicken), Wanton cheese Age, takoyaki, & salmon skin roll. With Aka Kiri & green tea for beverages.
We beat the dinner rush by coming right when they opened but this place became busy very quickly. The service was fast and friendly. I loved sitting on the second level overlooking the rest of the restaurant.
My next goal is to come here with more people so we can all try more items on the menu!

A friend in the restaurant business recommended this place, and I am so glad. As soon as you step through the doors, it feels like you are in JAPAN. We didn’t have reservations, and our party was a little large, but they were friendly and accommodating. Service was fast, although I wish we had been given more menus. The nigiri was incredibly fresh, and the Tonkotsu Ramen Black was the best I’ve ever had! The dessert fish cake (which was a bean curd donut) was very flavorful and satisfying. I accidentally left my purse after, and the hostess ran it out to me in the parking lot. This place is amazing – don’t miss it!
