I opted for Shomar’s famous fish sandwich, which came highly recommended, and paired it with their rice pilaf. Let me say, the fish sandwich lived up to its reputation! The fish was perfectly cooked, boasting a golden, crispy batter that gave way to tender, flaky white fish inside. The sandwich was served on a soft, toasted bun with a tangy house-made sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The portion was generous, leaving me satisfied but not overly stuffed. The rice pilaf was a fantastic complement—light, fluffy, and subtly seasoned with a hint of herbs that added depth without overpowering the dish. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh and prepared with care.
My wife chose the gyro platter, which came with a side of fries and a Greek salad. The gyro was a standout, featuring tender, thinly sliced meat packed with savory, well-seasoned flavor. The pita was soft yet sturdy, holding up perfectly to the generous filling, which was topped with a creamy, garlicky tzatziki sauce that was simply divine. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right—a classic side done to perfection. The Greek salad was a refreshing highlight, with crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, red onions, Kalamata olives, and a generous crumble of feta cheese, all tossed in a zesty vinaigrette that brought the flavors together. It was the perfect balance of tangy and fresh, making it an ideal side for the hearty gyro.
What impressed us most was the consistency of quality across the board—every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. The outdoor seating added a special touch, allowing us to soak in the pleasant atmosphere while savoring our meal. The service was prompt yet unobtrusive, with our server checking in just enough to ensure we had everything we needed without interrupting our conversation.
Overall, Shomar’s delivered a memorable dining experience that left us eager to return. Whether you’re craving a hearty sandwich or a flavorful Mediterranean-inspired platter, this place has something for everyone. We highly recommend Shomar’s for anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
The fish sandwich amazing!y all time favorite item. Fish is fresh, moist and hot! The fries are amazing as well. Tarter sauce on that fish!!!! Awesome!
The mini dinner shrimp with fries. Cheap and good. Although they are small shrimp they are not overpowered with a bunch of breading. Shrimp still had taste to it.
Shomars shows out! Their fish sandwich is THEE best I’ve tasted in a while!
The gyro was ok allergic to raw onions. It was loaded with them I removed them. The tzaziki sauce was ok not too much flavor with it. The Gyro was good though.
My husband and I stopped in here for lunch. It was not busy, the staff were very friendly and our food was brought out pretty quick.
I had the Santorini Chicken Pita with a side of Greek pasta and my husband had The Original burger pita with a side of hummus and pita bread. They do give a generous amount of hummus.
We really enjoyed our meals. Just slightly disappointed at the prices to upgrade into combos. But, I think everything has gotten more pricy not a days. Overall a good choice!
