The only reason I am giving this place two stars is for the night bartenders.
They are amazing.
We go at night all the time, but this was our first afternoon arrival.
The bartender today(Nina) was the rudest person I haver ever personally met at a bar.
We always tip at the end of our time there.
Not only did she yell across the bar, “Is there a reason you don’t tip?”
She also stated incorrect information to her manager before we got to talk to her.
Her managers excuse?
She’s had a bad morning and came to a dirty kitchen.
While I understand her being upset, that is NO way to treat any customer.
My service animal did not bark and lunge at the daytime bartender as she stated.
Go to the bar at night, great vibe, great bartenders, great customers who I absolutely adore.

We love showdown. A hole in the wall bar we frequent throughout the week. Vallerye and Jordan are the best. Attentive and always a smiling face greeting us! They have pool tournaments Tuesdays and karaoke Friday nights. 2 pool tables and an outside patio with TVs both inside and out. The food is typical bar food but it’s always good! Cheap drinks, cheap good food you can not beat it.

Showdown was cool. Jordyn was sweet and took care of the customers, and the locals were all friendly. They have shuffleboard and 2 pool tables and some other games. Another thing, I’ve never seen this in a bar before, was a coin op washer/dryer so you can run a load of laundry while you’re hanging out. What a great idea. I had a good time here waiting for a thunderstorm to blow over.

First of all I go here quite often. I rarely get food here but today I was feeling different. I got a BLT because it was cheap and my God this is the probably the best damn BLT I’ve ever eaten anywhere in my life and that’s saying a lot because a BLT is literally busy bacon lettuce and tomato. I don’t get how you could make it different or better but it was phenomenal. Highly recommend coming on a night where either Jordyn or Dayton is working you will not be disappointed.

Showdown is your typical low key hidden bar, affectionately known as a dive bar. But, don’t get me wrong, this is not a dive. Very clean, nice TVs, music pools table and several other games. Food is very good and great prices. Food was excellent again. The BBQ burger was really good.
Once again, the bartender, Molly, was awesome. Just like Valerie the last time. Always on top of your drinks and never let ours go dry. Fun to chat with and knows most of the patrons by name. Regulars she definitely knows.
Highly recommend this place for a low key evening and conversation with friends. Atmosphere was fun and music just loud enough to hear but not too loud to drown out conversations.

Perfect dive, bonus–you can do your laundry. FIRST, be kind to the bartenders. They are fantastic, but usually they are trying to do ten things at once, including but not limited to tending bar, cooking burgers, cleaning, etc. When you belly-up to the bar to order, make some friends while you wait for a bartender to pop out of the back.
The food is outstanding. I suspect part of the magic is the grill. Burgers are great. The nachos are some of the best I’ve had in Arlington. I think they make their own salsa.
They have pool tables, and some league play on weeknights. They have darts. And they have an AMI jukebox. They also have regulars playing 70s album rock. Decor is dive bar. Vibe is dive bar. All hail the DIVE BAR!

We just moved to Arlington and have been searching for a neighborhood bar! Showdown was great! The service was amazing, prices were great, and the atmosphere was perfect. There was plenty of pool tables and games and the music wasn’t too loud. If you like a “dive bar” vibe, this is definitely up your alley!
