Shorty’s is a laid-back spot with an old school vibe. At Shorty’s — retro games, such as darts, shuffleboard, giant connect four, foosball and pinball, are mixed with more modern elements, like a vintage style but ‘social ready’ photo booth, a digital train station split-flap sign of a busy schedule of “arriving and departing” beer selections and house made craft-draft cocktails, PLUS an epic 1970’s basement inspired karaoke room. Our open kitchen turns out scrumptious comfort food like Fried Chicken, Short Rib Mac & Cheese + Big Sammies. Outside, our camp-style fire pits are the perfect place to kick back and cozy up. Inviting store front, along the beautiful brick walkways of the Waterfront. Awesome fires with comfortable chairs await in their outdoor space. Didn’t have food, the wine was good and the bartender’s service was outstanding. Definitely will return.

Went three days in a row by myself. Good place to just sit and relax by yourself. The karaoke on Friday nights is such a good vibe too. All the workers are really awesome. The fries in the giant pizza box made me laugh lol

They don’t have duck pin bowling as the internet suggests. The place wasn’t as busy as our original waitress would have us believe. She took a while to come over , take the drink order, and bring the drinks. She told us several times she was too busy for us then pond us off on another waiter for her outdoor table.

I’ve been here 3 times in the last week. The food has been great every time and the service has been fantastic. I’ve had the pizza box nachos, the smash burger, fried pickles, funnel cake fries, Mac n cheese, and mozzarella bites. Everything has been great, other than the Mac n cheese, it needed to be mixed a bit more, but still tasted good.

We came for the Holiday Decorations & Vibes. It wasn’t too busy, but service still felt kind of slow. Never got a real intro from the server, nothing about ‘taco tuesday’, no info unless asked. Food is decent… service was generally slow. Spinach & Artichoke dip came out of the kitchen cold. Buffalo Mac & Cheese came out of the kitchen cold (watery mac, and chicken were both cold and didn’t look too good). The waiter didn’t even tried to get it heated up, he just said he recommended ordering something else, so we got some sandwiches. They were decent. Hate to say it, but it’s unlikely we’ll be back for a sit down meal with a kid. There’s no kids menu as you can see online. Holiday vibes were high though! I’d go here for happy hour deal at the bar maybe. That’s about it. It’s $9 for a Guiness, $7 for an iron city, drinking’s overrated anyways!

Stopped by Shorty’s before a Costco run to avoid hungry grocery shopping. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and I am glad we went. This place has a lot of activities… Darts, Pinball, shuffle board, etc. I could imagine that during a Steeler game, it would be pretty busy. But at 2 pm on a Thursday, it was pretty much empty. The food was pretty good. Creative menu and well prepared. We ordered the Cheeto Waffle Fries, Birria Tacos, and the short rib mac and cheese. I felt like the short rib quality could have been a little better…. It was”pot roasty” and didn’t really resemble short rib. Overall it was a good experience and would like to go back sometime soon.

Excellent server and interesting menu (wasn’t study calories on first choice). Interesting breading on chicken breasts. Rather noisy even without a crowd. Met a date here on a Sunday afternoon around 2 o’clock. It was not busy and they were transitioning from brunch to the regular menu. Bar service was very slow! My date ordered the Smashburger and I ordered the chicken quesadilla. The Smashburger was decent however my quesadilla was flavorless. Just a big glob of cheese and a few little chicken pieces with no flavor whatsoever. Small side of pico to dip the quesadilla in. Spent $80 on two drinks and these appetizers/lunch. Disappointing to say the least. I would only return for their happy hour.

I’ve been here a few times for brunch and the food was always good. During this visit we got appetizers, they were not as good as brunch. The service was great and the atmosphere was decorated for the holidays. The drinks were good as well.

Tonight was all about Margaritas and Martinis, and neither disappointed. Of course, we had to try the sliders and waffle fries too. Everything was fantastic. I want to try their brunch menu next. It was a little calm for a Friday night, but I didn’t mind at all. Maybe next time I’ll hop on a video game.
