Shorty’s Lunch in Washington, PA is one of those places that never needs an introduction if you’re from around here. It’s just a classic. We stopped in and had their famous hot dogs with everything on them along with french fries and gravy, and honestly, everything was delicious as usual.
There is something about Shorty’s that just feels familiar and comforting. The food is always consistent, always good, and it’s the kind of place you keep coming back to over the years. No surprises, no gimmicks, just really good food that always hits the spot.
Highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere near Washington. It’s a simple, no-frills kind of place, but that’s exactly what makes it so good.

Shortys has good dogs. Not GREAT dogs but good dogs. Both locations are old, outdated and pretty dirty. Not gross but pretty dirty. The fries and gravy are good and the prices are reasonable. But they only accept cash. I know they do this so they don’t have to pay the fees for using cards, but this costs them a lot of my business as I don’t carry cash. So I head to Jimmy Johns or somewhere that accepts cards. They do have an ATM inside the restaurant but lord only knows what the fees would be for an ATM withdrawal. And of course that’s not a credit card anyhow. If they would clean up a bit and accept cards they would do much better in my opinion.

Absolutely love this place hotdogs are fantastic and they come out fast as hell so does the french fries and gravy at a very affordable price surrounded by good people with good parking can’t beat it if you’re looking for a small spot with a big appetite and you’re craving some hotdogs

I always loved the food here but apparently you should arrive after 11am during the week. I know the hours say 10am but driving by showed no signage on and not a soul to be seen inside. Sure I could walk in and see if everyone is just hiding and they forgot to turn on the signs, or I could save myself the trouble and keep driving. I opted to keep driving.

OMG!!! what a wonderful treat. Went for a drive just no where in particular.. saw the sign for this place so figured ok try it.
Went in and was greeted immediately, sat down, the young waitress came right over took the drink order, brought the drinks took the food order and within 10 minutes the food was done. HOT FRESH DELICIOUS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT:) I would get the roast beef again and again and again.
The menu is limited but that’s ok because what they offer is perfect.
The service, food, everything was excellent.
