Met a friend who was traveling along the 40 for lunch. Shorty’s is easy to get to and has ample space near by for RV parking. Features indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the front counter and then sit down to eat your food and they bring it out to you when it’s ready. They have BBQ, Sandwiches, Broasted “Fried Chicken”, Spaghetti, Pizza, Wings and more. I was a little overwhelmed by the menu because there were so many tasty choices, I ended up getting the Broasted Chicken and it was great! Sierra was our cashier and server and she was so helpful and pleasant. I felt like I had so many questions since it was my first time there and she was so friendly and answered all my questions. If you are traveling on Hwy 40 and would like some good eats- check out Shorty’s!

So rad! Great barbecue place in Moriarty. I am vegan and found stuff on the menu for me. The food is amazing. The service is even better. Cool folk art pieces everywhere and vintage Coca Cola stuff. You get a sense of the history of Moriarty from the decor. Great experience.

The food here is awesome! I needed a quick bite on my way through town and I saw this place. Let me tell you small town BBQ is not just done well but is done to perfection at this little place. The decore inside won’t be for everyone, but who cares when you got brisket this good. I had the chopped brisket sandwich, and my god it was like eating moms slow cooked love on home made roll of grandma’s secret recipe for a long life. Dang this was good. Definitely making a stop here again in the near future. I don’t live close or I would live in the lobby. Good God almighty visit this place yesterday. You won’t regret it.

Great little BBQ joint on Route 66 in Moriarty. The variety of food they have here is remarkable for a BBQ shop (fish, chicken, steak, hoagies, pizza, pasta), but I came here for the BBQ. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, and I got some slaw on the side. The BBQ was pretty decent. Between the meat and the sauce, it’s probably somewhere between Memphis and Carolina style.
I’d also like to specifically mention the service. It was exceptional. The workers here were astonishingly friendly and helpful. They really deserve some commendation.

I was so looking forward to bbq but this place was closed for the season. I came back 4 months later and so glad I did. The brisket is to die for.The owner’s are very friendly and there is space to park a truck and trailer within walking distance. Will be going back.

Stopped here for dinner and gotta say the BBQ is very good. The ribs are some of the best I’ve had in a while. The sides weren’t too appetizing though. I will probably be back to try the broaster fried Chicken and the BBQ meats.

4 stars is exceptional,establishment is visible from Rd.I was greeted with with Great hospitality and respect and continued thru my stay.Ribs was cooked to perfection,falling off bone and very juicy,I called my mother to see if she came out of retirement and was working in this kitchen making the potatoe salad. Great Food,Great customer service,this is a must visit place.

Okay, this place was amazing ! I️ recommend the brisket sandwich with potato salad the bread that the sandwich came on tasted so fresh and the bbq was just perfect.
