Locally owned drive-thru burger joint. Serving old fashioned ballpark food. Specializing in fresh beef smashburgers, shakes & fries. Everything made fresh and to order. Great gluten-free options and vegetarian Beyond burgers. Ice cream cones, milkshakes, dirty sodas, burgers, hot dogs, and perfectly seasoned fries and tots…all of your favorites. We are in the process of building an outdoor seating area! In the meantime, you are welcome to take your order over to Southpaws and eat inside or on the patio there as we own both places! You may also order directly from your table inside Southpaws, and we will bring your food to you!

Shortstops Burgers is my go-to when I need lunch in North Albany. Their food is reliable and delicious! The location is perfect for getting a quick stop and getting right back on the road. My truck/ trailer doesn’t fit through the drive-thru but they accommodate by ringing the bell on the back door and waiting on the nearby bench. They also have great shakes and strawberry sundaes!

Came to Albany for a dentist appointment and needed a bite to eat to kill some time. Boy did I make the right choice by driving over to Shortstops! This place tasted like nostalgia heaven to me, as they are the closest a local smash burger joint has ever come to replicating my favorite childhood spot of yore(RIP Bosco’s in Hillsboro, you were legendary). The burgers are juicy and flavorful, with the perfect balance of condiments and veggies. The tots were generously portioned, hot, fresh and well seasoned. The fry sauce here is a standout, a cut above its peers with a unique flavor all its own. The cake batter shake is one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had, and as it is one of my most beloved treats, I know my shakes. Creamy, dreamy, not overly sweet, this frozen delight is a winner. I was blown away by how fast the service was, and even moreso that they achieved the level of quality they did in such a short amount of time. The pricing is also very reasonable, as I’ve paid more at Burgerville and even lower quality chains like Wendy’s or McD’s for FAR less in terms of taste, portion and value. Definitely a masterclass in how fast food should be done. This place is going to be a regular spot for me, and is well worth the drive from Salem just to eat here. Thanks for the amazing meal, y’all!

Ordered two chicken slider combo. Not impressed with the preformed chicken patties and the fact that I ordered a combo but didn’t get any fries. I didn’t get charged for fries either so not as critical. Their intercom has a lot to be desired. I couldn’t understand her and she couldn’t understand me. The entire human contact was about 10 secs. They have an opaque drive thru window so you can’t see inside. Here’s your food here’s your change, bye!
I did enjoy the boba sized straws so that I wasn’t sucking my face into my cup.
I don’t think chicken is their forte so I’ll be going back to sample their burger and I’ll make sure they understand my order.
Edit: I did go back to try their burger and tots. The burger was substantial size and tasty. For an additional charge, I opted for the bacon and cheese.
I added an Oreo shake and it was thick! But they provide boba straws so you don’t suck your face into the cup.
The tots were crispy and extra salty! The sauces were complimentary for fry sauce and BBQ sauce for the burger.

Love these guys! Love their food! We came for the flavor burst cones, and decided to start with lunch. We love the burgers, fries are good, but hands down, those tater tots are perfection every time. They have fry sauce as well as ketchup. We’ve also tried the shakes. So yummy. We make special trips here regularly

I’d put 0 stars if possible Waited for 45 minutes for 2 cars infront of me, chicken sliders are just big chicken nuggets between nasty little soggy bread crumbs not worth it at all. Burger was 1/10 not to mention they messed up my order after having waited 45 minutes in line and honestly look at the POS burger, it looks nasty as heck. Honestly so disappointed thought it was gonna be good with the ratings I saw. Wouldn’t go again. Fries were the only edible thing. Don’t waste your money.

Food was well seasoned, sadly I didn’t take any photos of the burgers we ordered they were so hot and fresh we didn’t want to wait. One of the only places I’ve been to that actually seasons their fries. The strawberry milk shake is so crave-able !

I ordered 2 cones and a milkshake. The two cones were quickly handed to us after the skae and the window quickly closed on us. One of the cones was for my toddler and was melted and crushed upon delivery. My cones was also melted in a cup and didn’t look like a medium. I was very disappointed, we come from Lebanon here because of the flavor burst cones and normally have great service. Whoever was on shift today did not know what they were doing. Not sure if we will make the trip again after this experience.

I love this place! Great, friendly service and delicious food. We just had a shake, cone and some fries for an afternoon snack and everything was perfect. Maybe the best fries in town and the shakes are awesome. Try it if you haven’t yet.

Had a desire for a milk shake…ordered a blackberry…it was delicious…price was higher than menu online ..but i wanted to cool off….its soft serve ….not ice cream…but tastee never the less!! drive thru or walk up only! THE SERVER WAS SUPER!!So polite !!did not have anything else!
