Called to get an order to go from Wheaton MN. The person who answered the phone was patient, kind, and explained the special- A chicken bacon sandwich with bacon jam. By the time I got there, everything was ready to go still warm. I also ordered a peanut butter shake, which was just as delicious as always! Highly recommend and love that I am supporting local people!

I love this cafe. I rate it 5 stars on all levels. I especially love the breakfast-in fact, I don’t think I have ever had a better breakfast anyplace. The owners and all of the staff display that typical Midwestern friendliness, and it is a joy to enter the door. Rosholt is my summer home-I own a cafe overseas, and I know excellence when I see it. I am on my way out the door to head to the Shortstop for breakfast!

We had the angry burger and fish sandwich. Both meals were delicious and generous portion sizes. Cute little spot that’s right off the highway. Definitely stop by.

Fried food predominates, nothing but salad for a healthy option. Maybe a homemade, non deep fried special of the day could be offered. Perhaps a soup/chili & side of baked bread roll could be added to the menu? Definitely needs cottage cheese as a side without extra charge. Shame the steak bits are deep fried yet were very tender as Med rare ordered. Fries were very greasy but crisp. Perhaps a chicken or beef Chimichanga could be added to the menu. The place definitely needs a decor change and new carpet as dreary. Service was mediocre and goodness a smile could go a long way to add cheer to this depressing stop. The food needs to be elevated from the gas station offerings across the street. It would be so cute if this were redone as a cheery 50’s themed diner.

6 of us were in on Sunday after church.. Between us we had 4 different meals, ranging from chicken strips to different types of burgers. We were all very happy with our food. It was very good and we definitely didn’t walk away hungry..

We went on a Sunday morning for brunch! Absolutely delicious food and great service! Our waitress was running her butt off as she was the only one but you wouldn’t even know she was working alone. Best breakfast Iv ever had! Definitely will be going back!
