I normally won’t eat at a cajun or creole restaurant outside of Southern Louisiana. Mainly because no one can get it quite right. So when I was invited to Short’s and was told that it was a cajun restaurant, I was very skeptical. Well, I was very surprised to find that the cajun seafood linguini was so good. Reminded me of a place back home. The restaurant was very nice, had a good atmosphere and a great outdoor seating area. The service was very good as well. I will most definitely be going back here to try some of their other creole dishes. (If only they served sweet tea…)

We sat outside, there was a great live band. Burgers were good, fries excellent. Appetizer cheese curds were excellent with great ranch! Waitress was friendly and fast. It was a lot of fun. We’ll be back.

Love the casual atmosphere! Burger was one of the best in the area and cooked to perfection. Cons would be that the small metal chairs are very uncomfy and I was bummed to see that there is no Cajun items section offered from the menu when I went…but the food and friendliness of our server was so good that it was still one of my fave new spots!

Marion-UPDATED July 2024, bring an appetite if you get the tenderloin (see photo) it will feed two with ease. Onion rings were delicious, and fries are always perfection. Bloody Mary lacks garnishes but more than make up for it in taste. I wish they were open longer hours….been here MANY times never disappointed ****ORIGINAL POST we tried their bacon cheese burger and pulled pork, both delicious. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Cheese curds were tasty too. Eager to try the rest of their menu. Pictures in other posts don’t give the food enough credit! Not only visually appealing presentation, fries were Awesome!

We gave this place another chance, and we’re glad we did. We didn’t get waited on the first time we tried it out, so we left. Went on a Monday night this time for their $5 off burger special. The burgers were so good! They allow cooked to order, which was the best part! We got the Thornton burger and the manilla burger.

The menu has a dozen or more creative burger options, all of which can be substituted with chicken or a veggie option. Fish and chips were the real deal. Good, friendly service. Outdoor seating with live music.
