the crab soup is the best ive had in garrett co, chunks of crab, real cream and spiced with old bay just right. i am picky about salads but the ceasar and greek were great, fresh clean romaine and the steak strips were tender, thick cut and seasoned well and from a local farm. i love that. the sidewinder fries are unique, theyre crispy, thick and fun to eat. tastes like a baked potato and french fry combined. great selection of bottled beer and its only 2.75! in oakland its triple that in some places. the waitresses were nice and made us feel welcome. atmosphere is cool with unique western decor, felt spacious and inviting. made me want to stay and play some pool. will be back soon for sure!

Great food!! Burgers and crispy chicken sandwich were amazing!! Get it with the hot honey! Brisket looked great, too. Drinks are delicious. And don’t miss their homemade blue cheese dressing.

Found out of curiosity on a Google search what was close to me on our way home. Didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was a sweetheart and atmosphere was wonderful. Tvs mounted on walls, plenty of room. Knowing it was a old Ford Garage is what brought us to it when looking at a 50 mile radius.Knowing it’s only a hour away we will be back for a live band for our date night. Goto place in Tera Alta

The food was great, except for my Mother in law’s meal. She got the Fish & Chips. The fish was HUGE which was great but, it was far from done. It was very mushy and tastless. Our server was fantastic and the atmosphere is good. Good place to take the family. We would go back.

So glad they’re open again for lunch. The burgers are fantastic and the pizza is as well. I asked for the burger to come with smashed patties instead of the regular one and it was delicious!

Have you ever gone somewhere and you were so hungry that you could eat anything. Well apparently there is a limit to what you will eat.I ordered a burger and onion rings with a sweet tea. The burger was fair. Onion rings had a fishy taste like they were fried in old oil that the fish was fried. My tea was so sweet that I requested water and just poured a few sips of tea in my water. My husband ordered a pizza which tasted like a very bad frozen pizza. For what we paid we expected better. This establishment was previously owned by someone else and the food was of better quality. If you happen to want to experience Shorthorns do so with caution and be prepared for disappointment.

First time back since they opened. Great service food was great I had a crispy chicken sandwich which was the best . The wings are great. And the loaded sidewinder fries are great too. Will definantly be back.

This is out second time here under new ownership. Let me tell you tonight was a joke! My husband ordered the crab soup and it was so salty it was inedible. We brought this to our servers attention and when we received the bill it was still on it. Ordered a salad instead of fries with my sub was told there would be an up charge. The up charge was to cost of ordering a side salad by itself. That isn’t an up charge. Our service was horrendous. Took forever for her to take our drink order, took forever for her to take our food order. In the beginning, I was understanding by the end of our experience. All understanding was gone. I sat with my family everyone with empty drinks while she stood and flirted or talked to another table for a good 15 minute solid. She then told that table she had to go do some work walked away for a matter of two or three minutes and then was right back standing at that table all while we were completely finished eating sitting with no drinks waiting for boxes and for our check once that table finally decided to leave the establishment, she then came over and asked if we needed anything at which point we said boxes she brought the boxes and promptly walked away without leaving the check. We sat again for an extended period of time while she waited on another table bringing them drinks and menus quite promptly. Eventually, we had to stop her and ask her for our check as stated earlier once we received our check, we were thoroughly disappointed in the fact that we were charged for the soup as well as a five dollar up fee for a side salad that had I ordered. Separately would’ve only cost five dollars at this point we explained the situation to her, and she said that she would speak to someone possibly Chrissy or Carissa not really sure again we sat waiting as a examined the dinner menu to figure out pricing situations. I will say when they returned with the adjusted check they did take the cost of the soup off, which should’ve been done from the moment that the soup was returned to the kitchen, and they did adjust the cost of the side salad down to two dollars. Overall, the experience was definitely not great, which is thoroughly disappointing.

7 of us ordered food. Everyone was extremely disappointed with the taste and quality of their food.
They definitely need more wait staff. 6 wings, 4 burgers, 1 pizza, and a cup of chili took over an hour to be served.
Won’t go back.
