Get atmosphere in the bar. The bartender Angie was great made a great Jack & Coke. Had a cheese burger with onion rings. It was good but the burger could have been cooky a lot more for my taste.

We specifically leave from hunting and drive an hour from camp to eat here. They are so so friendly and there isn’t a single thing on the menu that is nothing short of delicious. Not to mention, the Bloody Mary’s are the best around!

I remember when my grandparents owned the Shorthorn, Jack and Patsy Paul.. It was truly the best food around for miles when my grandma was in the kitchen. I have great memories of peeling potatoes for her to make fresh French fries..and she’d always have a bowl of her mashed potatoes and gravy ready for me anytime I walked through the door.. So delicious!! Someday I’ll make my way back to see how the food is now.

Staff was friendly, but the food was not good. Ordered a burger, and it came out with canned mushrooms and fake cheese (something like Kraft singles). Fries were okay, but wouldn’t ever stop here again unless it was for an adult beverage ONLY.

Generally the food is good and service is quick and friendly! Tonight, however, service was slow, waitress didn’t seem to want to be there. Food was ok, though everything was over cooked. Soup and salad came out at the same time as the meals. I’m sorry to say I was fairly disappointed all around this evening!

This place may be in the middle of no where but the food was great, and the service was warm and inviting. I would recommend their cream of mushroom soup. I don’t even like mushrooms but I could eat that all day. Their sandwiches we’re also very taste.
