I’m not someone who leaves reviews often, but when a restaurant in the foothills of Vermont restores your passion for dining out, you’ve gotta. The food was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully curated. The ambiance was effortless. The service was prompt and friendly. I’m grateful that this place is open til 10 PM serving quality cuisine and impeccable experience.

First! Visiting Tunbridge, Vermont for 42mile gravel @therangervt and treated with a new restaurant. Check it out when you’re in the area!
Great service. Quick and delish. Nice decor and vibe. Friendly service. A bit self serve at the moment and order at the counter.
I had the cheese platter, pull pork sandwich, Riesling from Austria and old fashioned (well done with Bullet)

Such a fun spot! The food and cocktails are super creative and thought out. Everything is made from scratch down to the crackers, pate and clarified tiki drink. Great spot to grab a drink at the bar or share a bunch of yummy plates with friends and family. Loved it all.

this place gets it right. Simple, delicious food that leaves you desperate for the recipe. Highlights include the meatballs and the jerk chicken sandwich. Will dream of that sandwich for many nights to come. Menu including cocktails is extensive for a 2-person operation which makes it all the more impressive. Cocktails are adventurous and fantastic. Particularly enjoyed the sweet corn margarita

We’ve been several times, and the food and drinks have been fantastic every time. The small plates and sharing plates are well sized for a couple or a group and cover a range of taste and diet options, so there’s something for everyone. The large plates and sandwiches are delicious…I had the bahn mi and it was amazing. Great beer and cocktail list. Worth a drive from Killington to support a yummy, independent restaurant.

Excellent food. Small menu with seasonal offerings. Many Gluten free options. We went early so we got a table but by the time we left the place was packed

Great hidden secret waiting to be discovered. Excellent tapas style visit for me. Well curated Vermont beer and cocktail list, in a tiny, vibrant, downtown.

We just ate a delicious meal at Short Notice, and wanted to chime in on how terrific this place is. The interior is a bit basic, but as it fills up for dinner, it feels cozy and down to earth. The menu is small enough that you are not overwhelmed by choices, but enough variety to satisfy a range of appetites. Everything was great, but the standouts were the cornbread with maple butter, the hummus, and the French onion soup. The only thing that was not to our liking was the espresso and tonic water with lime, which I was interested to try, but didn’t enjoy. Maybe it’s just me. The chocolate chip brown butter cookies we took to go for the ride home were delicious as well. We will be back!
