1st time visit. Went here for dinner on a Tuesday night for something different. The place sits directly across from a lake & I thought it would be more upscale or fancy, you might say, considering its location, but it is not. The place is divided into 2 sections (bar / restaurant). Oh wait, it’s 3 sections because the back is a small bowling alley / game area. We sat in the bar area (at the time of seating, I didn’t know about the other section), which was ok, but noisy due to bowlers. Bartenders were very good, prompt, & polite. Food was mediocre as both our burgers were very overcooked, dry, & seasoned less. Prices were normal for bar food. I guess I envisioned something different from this place.

UPDATE: Made another trip here for lunch & sat in the restaurant side. Have to admit, I liked the atmosphere, service, & food MUCH better this time. Had bbq ribs lunch special – really really good!

Had breakfast, omelet was good, the hash browns were greasy though. Love that they serve Rye toast. My server, Amanda, was kind and efficient.

Great little dinner, good for a quick stop and some great food. I had the biscuits and gravy, which came with hash browns and eggs made to your preference. The gravy was divine and the biscuits were nice and fluffy. My friend got the Walleye Omelet, which looked amazing! The atmosphere was nice and inviting, very warm. The servers are wonderful, we had Angela today and she was very attentive! The coffee was nice and even better, bottomless. Worth stopping by for a quick bite to eat, we’ll be stopping again soon!

We stayed at the Battle Lake Inn and eat here. WOW! Great food, excellent service. It was really good. It was busy but there is an amazing amount of seating. A bar, a patio and rooms further back to sit in as well. We told the server we had to be at church to a baptism and our food got a speedy rush. Much appreciated! Picture, that is a breakfast at a reasonable price and a thermos of coffee too. Delicious.

Great food, friendly helpful staff and beautiful view. Pleasantly surprised by the unique, tasty menu items. Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area or even make a special trip. Homemade soup was delicious, egg rolls with a twist were amazing and my grilled turkey sandwich on wild rice cranberry bread was superb.

The place could really use some updating but the food was yummy, the staff was friendly, and the price is right. I tried the Walleye Benedict and the piece of fish I got was big, flaky, and buttery, and my eggs were poached right. The hollandaise was good. Most of their breakfasts come with crispy hash browns which I love!

So, we’re here in Minnesota helping a friend move and we’ll be here a couple weeks. We decided to go out to eat Saturday and picked the Shoreline to dine as they have dine-in seating. I was happy to see they were practicing social distancing. This turned out to be a big mistake. The service was terrible! Our young waitress (who never told us her name) ordered our food incorrectly, offered me fries then when they didn’t come said sorry doesn’t come with them my mistake, never came back to fill our drinks, never brought the bill or boxes for the leftovers. After about 40 minutes of waiting, we CALLED the restaurant to ask for our bill. She waitress seemed surprised but still didn’t take care of our needs. It was probably the worse experience in a long time. The food however was fantastic. SOOO . . . With really no where else to go, we went back yesterday (Sunday) and it was 150% BETTER. Our waitress seated us immediately, introduced herself, checked on us during our meal and even wore a face mask unlike the waitress the day before. I felt safer. The ribs were the best II have ever had. The food was simply amazing.

I’m so glad we decided to go back! It was worth it! We will be going back again!

Ate here at a buffet, the food was ok, you can’t expect a lot from a restaurant that tries to serve hundreds of people in a one-day event. But the service was good, and it seems like a nice place to come for an evening of drinks or food.

Delicious food! I really enjoyed my club and sweet potato waffle fries. They were served extra crispy, which I love! Kid loved the blueberry sauce for his pancakes. My kid was annoyed by the flies inside, though. Service was just OK. Not very welcoming when we came in. Dropped check before asking about dessert, so we skipped pie, but it looked really good. Nice views of the lake, especially if you get a table but the windows. Lots of parking around back. I would go back because the food was so tasty.

We had a huge group in to eat here. The waitress did a phenomenal job getting our drinks and orders in. The food was made very quickly for such a large order. And everything was so delicious. From the pizza, to the walleye sandwiches, and the excellent garlic cheese curds. Hope I can make it back here again.
