If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

We went here last night to celebrate my best friend’s birthday and were having a great time — until it came time to cut her cake. The staff provided her with a knife, and while she was cutting into the cake, the knife suddenly snapped. We were shocked to learn afterward that it was supposedly an $800 sushi knife.

The situation quickly escalated when the sushi chef came out and immediately accused her of dropping the knife and demanded that she pay for it. She calmly explained what happened and even asked them to review the security footage. Despite watching the footage, the staff continued to argue with and berate her to the point that she was brought to tears.

What made the situation even more upsetting was that several individuals associated with the chef came out, got in our faces, yelled slurs, and behaved aggressively as if they wanted to start a fight. It was incredibly uncomfortable and completely unprofessional.

I have never experienced anything like this at a restaurant — especially over a knife that was provided to us by the staff. What should have been a joyful birthday celebration turned into a stressful and upsetting ordeal.

Unfortunately, because of how this situation was handled and how we were treated, I will never return.

Really great food with a Hawaiian vibe. The musubi and the kalua pork tacos were great. There’s a nice outdoor patio, but you have to contend with the flies. Inside, the a/c was dripping in a pool on the floor, so they could probably touch up the facility a bit. Food was worth it, though.

This place didn’t knock my socks off. It was quick but the food was pricey for the portions you get. The flavor was there with the tacos but the quesadilla was lack-luster and small. Beer was good. We likely won’t be back. We were hoping for more but I can see this being a great spot for tourist or people who don’t know what other places are available with better quality around the corner.

Yep, loved this spot. We had almost every taco on the menu and enjoyed every one—the shrimp especially. The batter on that one was doing the damn thing. ❤️ Moreover, they had a really nice selection of beers and wines by the glass as well as a great little shop if you wanted to take the party home. Truly worth a visit!

4 stars for the tacos. 5 stars for their FISH WINGS. First time trying their fish wings and it was mind blowing. What a creative dish it is! Otherwise, cute little place with an outside sit-down area for your kids and your pup. Great pet friendly patio. Their tacos are quite pricey. $5.50 each and it’s tiny. I personally don’t care much about their tacos especially considering how expensive they are.

I really wanted to like this place—after all, a 4.7 rating usually means you’re in for something special. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of the hype, and most of the disappointment came directly from the food.

First, the portion sizes were comically small. I don’t mind paying a bit more for quality, but the prices here simply don’t match what you actually get. When my plate arrived, I genuinely thought it was an appetizer. For what they charge, you expect something more substantial—or at least satisfying.

The biggest letdown, though, was the so-called “fish sandwich.” What I received wasn’t a fillet or even a recognizable cut of fish—it was essentially a ground fish patty that tasted every bit as unappetizing as it sounds. The texture was mushy, the flavor was off, and the whole thing felt like a low-effort shortcut rather than a signature menu item.

I went in with high hopes, but unfortunately the food didn’t deliver. Maybe I just caught them on an off day, but based on my visit, the ratings didn’t reflect the actual experience.

Food was ok, beer selection was good, lines moved fast except the ones for the bathroom. Only 2 stalls. Fish sandwich was a fish burger not a piece of fried fish. Poke bowl was albacore tuna and quite chewy. French fries were good. Out back was so loud we sat out front.

The service is top level and they are super friendly. Love going to this place for a cold beer and good eats. They have a rotating beer selection with new beers available each time I have gone.
