A nice place, good food, nice atmosphere. My gripe with Shoney’s is the veteran discount of 2-3% off your meal. I think this is a corporate decision/policy, not the local restaurant. Why not just drop the veteran discount, it’s insulting. Every other restaurant that offers a discount is in the 5-10% range.

Usually we like Shoney’s. This visit was a waste of money. Buffet items.. fish, shrimp okra and other food was cool or cold. Shrimp was not crispy… outside was soft, inside was rubbery. Broccoli soup appeared to not have been stirred or refreshed in awhile. There was an unappealing crust on top. Soup had a burnt, old flavor. Un-eatable. Mashed potatoes and green beans were the only hot items I ate. The restaurant supervisor told me the food sometimes was like this during slow times. I guess they only keep it fresh during busy hours.
While the manager was apologetic and didn’t charge us for one buffet…. we still felt like we paid too much for such poor quality. We left hungry and disappointed. We will think twice before choosing Shoney’s again.

There was only one girl working when I visited. She managed to help at least 20 people whilst I was having breakfast and kept my coffee full for the whole time. Even though she was obviously overwhelmed, she did a great job. I got the buffet as it was good value. The food at the time of my visit was warm and of good quality. Everything looked clean and the cutlery wasn’t greasy ( if you know you know) lol clean restaurant.

The breakfast Bar gets extended to 4 pm on Tuesdays. I was considering the Turkey sandwich platter , but it cost $1 more than the AYCE bar at 3:15pm. About a dozen were still eating at that time, and Tracy the waitress said it was more popular than the sandwich menu items. Eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, irish potatoes, biscuits , muffins , … very standard for hot breakfast, then they also had lunch items salisbury steak, fried chicken, fried catfish, nacho sauce , mashed potatoes, other gravies, fruits, and other deserts. A wide range of items for just $13.99.
It was still decently fresh at 3:30pm. The fried chicken appeared to be pre-drained of oil at the fryer, but I would suggest a buffet tray drip pan to prevent sogginess on the last pieces presented from the bottom of the pan.
Not really the fanciest buffet, but they did well with the ingredients presented.
Tracy provided great friendly service, drinks, sauces, and the breakfast bar mention.

We haven’t been to Shoneys in awhile but because of our Server/Greater Kayla we will be back. Yes, She is my Friend but, She made our Visit very nice. Kayla was on top of all the Tables making sure everyone was having a Great time and enjoying themselves. She was also the only one on the floor except for Manager while we were there.

Great food, kind staff, and a cozy small-town feel. I love supporting local places that make Tennessee special.

Wow! Just perfect. The buffet was great. Not overly fatty and with a good selection of everything. There was a variety of salads, meats, vegetables and desserts. I’ve never been to Shoneys before and now I have one close to my house!

Food was fairly good, not too many choices of hot food the day that I went. Also way more expensive here than other Shoney’s restaurants, so I recommend going elsewhere if price bothers you.

The staff is always exceptional and extremely nice. Plus if you go on Tuesdays it’s all you can eat breakfast, and you can’t beat that.

This Shoney’s has great food. And was recently freshened up with a modern renovation. The service on my last visit wasn’t great but I think it’s because some employees had not shown up to work so they were understaffed. Still worth a visit. Best breakfast around for sure.
