The food will give you food poisoning.
The environment is dirty.
The breakfast bar is a complete sham. Serving old food and not even breakfast items.
This is a complete sham and should be treated as such. It does not deserve the shoney name.
I feel sorry for greenville people who have to eat at this establishment.
A serious rework or overhaul of this place is desperately needed.

Our waitress was good. The food was blah. As you can see in the picture, small portions and not very appealing. It tasted exactly how it looks. They had a buffet but as you can see it was minimal and expensive. It was noisy. A good part of the noise came from what I would guess was a heavy set manager holding court at a table next to where they were seating all the customers. He has paperwork spread out and a heavy set lady in uniform sitting with him. One after another he would call employees over or they would stop by and he would carry on. This was going on when we showed up and continued till after we left. The bathrooms were in rough shape. We won’t be returning. We have also taken Shoney’s off our list when traveling. Sorry.

Server was morose. When I asked what was on the buffet the server responded, “Do you want to go look”. I had but couldn’t tell by looking what some items were. Yes, it was that questionable. The artichoke dip was bland and the serving size was very small. Filthiest high chair I’ve seen to date. Got my order wrong. Hair in the salad bar. Temperature in our area was quite warm. Gave the bill with the food but at that point I’d lost interest in dessert.

Stopped by for lunch buffet Saturday afternoon. I was able to park my rig across the street. The tastiest greens I’ve ever had, and the gumbo was thick enough to eat with a fork. Yum!

On 9/19/25, my family and I went to eat there. The food was terrible. They had seafood night on the hot bar. Nothing, and I mean nothing on the bar was hot. The crawfish, muscles, catfish and grits were all cold. We mentioned to the manager, on duty about it. Let me just tell you what she did. She took five pieces of the fish, from the bar and took them back to the kitchen and put them back in the grease. They did fry more fresh fish, but by then it had ruined our appetite. Her excuse for the cold food was, the day shift person didn’t fill the steam wells up before leaving that day. But mind you, she should have made sure that the other person filled it with hot water, instead of cold to insure that the food remained hot. Bad food on a seafood night will get the restaurant shut down, quickly.

Clean restaurant. Food was hot, servers were on point, and we even saw a manager going from table to table checking on customers. Only complaint was one employee behind the breakfast buffet. She was literally holding the sausage serving spoon and getting on to each customer who would use the most convenient bologna serving spoon right next to the sausage. How can you justify correcting customers in a sassy fashion when you are literally holding the serving spoon that is intended for the sausage, leaving the customer no options? Would have been 5 stars for us if not for this employee. Everyone else was on point, and the restaurant was very clean.

Nice, clean and all staff I meet was pleasant especially the waitress. She was awesome. I was expecting dif meats on the bar but they only had dif kinds of chicken but what i ate was good.

Its a typical buffet spread. Nothing too amazing, but then again nothing was absolutely terrible either. You can get your money’s worth easily. Kristin E was our waitress/hostess and she was really nice. Made sure we were always topped off and even gave us togo cups of ice for the next part of our trip.
