I wasn’t aware that Shoney’s is so famous among everyone. We pulled up to Shoney’s at Donelson Pike, TN after a very long drive and we were extremely hungry and tired. It was around 8:30 PM and the restaurant was almost empty at this point.
The ambience, the service and the food – all three of them were great. We were attended by Sierra and her service was great. We ordered the All American Burger with fries and the Smashburgers with the onion rings. Overall a very nice experience.

Our waitress was great but manager had lack of professionalism. Very disappointed, I found hair in my food twice. The ice cream on the classic hot fudge Sunday never melted after about 40 minutes just because we was finishing our meal. The woman manager didn’t really listen to what we were saying and initially was refusing to remove the 3 cakes off our ticket knowing we didn’t take not one bite. I would never return to this shoneys.

I recently visited Shoney’s in Nashville for breakfast early on a Sunday morning, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant brought back memories from the animated show Rick and Morty, and it definitely lived up to the hype!
From the moment I walked in, I was seated quickly and greeted by my cheerful waitress, Dee. She was incredibly helpful, always making sure my coffee was topped off and even gave me a cup to go. Her positive energy set the tone for a great meal.
The food was self-serve, with a wide variety of options, including multiple types of grits, which I loved. The portions were generous, and the plate sizes were just right. The brown paper table covers added a cozy, homely touch to the ambiance.
The restaurant itself was clean, including the bathrooms, which had nice hand soap. The lighting was perfect for a relaxing morning, and I appreciated the upbeat atmosphere with the staff being visibly happy, even dancing at times.
The only minor downside was that some of the seating could use a bit of upkeep, as there were a few stains. However, this didn’t detract much from the overall experience.
All in all, Shoney’s in Nashville provided a wonderful start to my day, and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Highly recommended for a satisfying breakfast!

This is the last Shoneys in Nashville, but they are the BEST!!! 5 Stars in everything but the best thing – they keep the glass doors clean, the door handles clean, they menu’s clean, the floors clean, the buffet line!! If you want a place that feels like home, give them a visit!

Ordered a couple drinks at the bar area, Patricia did well! She was having to go between me and people on the other side of the restaurant as well as other things it sounded like she was being harmed on about. The director of operations sat 20 ft behind me in a booth right next to the door, and I heard every bit of what she said. Truly gripping stuff. Wait! Theres more!!!! I had the pleasure of watching a dog show, and the current football game was on the other TV. I asked if they could be switched, and that couldnt be answered directly by my server. She came back and said that no one had the ability to change the channels. There are currently atleast 4 remotes stationed between the 2 draft beer nozzle stations.

The buffet was pretty small compared to other shoney’s. So I ordered off the menu. Country fried steak meal was very good but we waited forever for our food and to pay . Has a long time shoney’s fan I’d have to say I was disappointed . And a bar inside a buffet that makes no sense alcohol don’t go good with buffet food.

if i could give zero stars i would. i ordered “kids fresh food bar” which shows BUTTERFLY SHRIMP on the picture, i ordered macaroni as my side. when i only got macaroni and told them thats not all i ordered the MANAGER said “oh well since your receipt doesn’t say shrimp and only says macaroni you basically paid for macaroni” mind you it clearly states what i ordered on the receipt. now it does say macaroni for $8 and some change on the website but that’s not what i ordered and i couldn’t even get a refund so i paid $8 for some NASTY BOX MACARONI!!! (pics for reference)
