Very disappointed. We got three boxes of takeout sushi and one box of takeout chirashi around noon. After having them, they are apparently at least overnight. Rice is very dry, avocado turns black, the Shiso leave is wilted, and the sashimi has questionable freshness. We went in to the store with high expectations based on the review, but very sad to experience this quality of food.

You can never get better quality Japanese food in 300 miles. Everything was perfect. Best authentic high quality sushi roll and chirashi sushi bowl. My 7 yo loved the egg roll so much.

Delicious takeaway sushi!!! Had the Shokuji Roll (yellowtail) and the Sake Bomb (salmon). Rolls are not only beautifully presented, but fish within is super fresh and mouthwatering. The flavors of the rolls melded perfectly together.
Cute decor too! I especially like the paper koi fish on display 🙂

New in town, cute little Japanese takeout restaurant serving premium sushi!! Aside from sushi, they also serve appetizers, soba noodles and a great variety of Japanese snacks. Sushi is so fresh and delicious with amazing presentation! I had the sake bomb, shokuji roll, seaweed salad and baby octopus. Highly recommended!!

The best takeout sushi I’ve ever had. Not cheap, but makes up for it with premium ingredients. Chirashi had botan ebi and monk fish liver which is not something that you’d get normally.

The food and the establishment looks nice and clean, but the staff is very dull, I’m not expecting to get greeted by a warm welcome, but when I got in, no one acknowledged me and I waited 10 minutes in front of the two people at front a no one did even look at me they kept on staring on their phones and talking to each other, so I just left the place.
I work near by and was exited to have a sushi place close by, but it was discouraging dealing with that lack of costumer service.

This little Japanese take out restaurant is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. They sell sushi and other snacks from Japan. The staffs there are nice and friendly. They explain to you patiently. The store is nice and clean.
We bought sushi rolls and donburi. They serve with high quality fish and the rice well seasons. Their fish from Tokyo. Nice and fresh.
If you never try, it surely worth to try.

This sushi and japanese snacks shop is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The sushi is definitely fresh and not the same as those other mass-produced sushi restaurants. They are getting their sources from Toyosu market in japan!!!! The freshness of their sushi is beyond comparison to the generic sushi joint. Their staff is super nice and friendly and the shop is neat and clean. What a find!! Just hope that they can expand the menu a bit more but it seem like they just recently opened so im sure it will be even better. I can’t wait to go back! Again….Fantastic sushi!!!!

Wonderful new take-out spot in town. Sushi tastes extremely fresh and is beautifully presented. The shop is cozy and welcoming. Very friendly staff. I wish Shokuji all the best and highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic and delicious sushi rolls.
