Tiny unassuming ramen and udon place from the outside, went in looking for a snack. Ordered a small pork rice bowl, and was told it would take 15min.
I got hungry from the delicious smells, and decided to eat my takeout directly in the car (see half eaten pic… I promise it was much prettier before I dived in).
Pork was savory, grilled with the a solid touch of char, and was simply garnished with sesame seeds and nori over rice. Pretty tasty, and definitely warrants a future visit for ramen sometime!

Oyster ramen added egg and pork belly. Staying in town for business so had to get Togo. Can’t tell you how impressed I was for the level of care of protection of the food for delivery. Once I saw that I knew it was going to be amazing. Once absolutely some of the best things I’ve eaten recently. Wish I would have added a spicy garlic but it was amazing without. Well done!

Great food, service and atmosphere. Tried their spicy miso soup and spicy pork fried rice, chicken fried rice and pork bun. Everything was delicious. Would definitely come back.

From the moment we walked in, the service was great. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience welcoming and enjoyable.
Now, for the food, it was absolutely delicious! My favorite is the Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth was rich, creamy, and slow-boiled for a deep, complex flavor that was the definition of comfort in a bowl. Highly recommended!

Stopped by for a late night ramen, did not disappoint. Although I’ve had better ramen before, the ramen here was decent. The broth was flavorful and I could tell a lot of time and effort was put into making it from the big vats in the back to the cheerfulness of the staff. The owner was also very nice and helpful in ordering. Finally, the atmosphere was cozy and well-decorated. Very good experience.

I have been coming to Shokudo since I was 16 years old and my boyfriend and I are avid regulars here. The food is always delicious and tastes homemade – I’m especially a fan of the vegetable miso ramen. It’s perfect for a quiet lunch or dinner and never disappoints. 10/10 recommend!

My family has been coming here for years. This is our favorite ramen shop of all the ones around the area. Plenty of seating, usually quiet, and we’re always happy when Avatar the Last Airbender is playing on the tv. My family loves the spicy pork buns, kaarage chicken and the agedashi tofu appetizers. The tonkotsu ramen has such a delicious and flavorful broth. That’s always a must have. Just recently tried the Spicy Pork Donburi and will definitely be getting that again. Service here is quick and excellent. Special thanks to Sun for always taking care of my family when we’re here. The food and service has been consistently great over the years so that’s why we keep coming back and will continue to do so!

Whenever we are in the area, we make certain to eat at Shokudo. Your first thought is that it’s a typical strip mall, fast food eatery. Not so. From the gentle background music and lovely Asian woman who greets you like you’re family, to the food that is perfectly delicious and authentic, you will be delighted that you came here. Looking forward to our return…..don’t forget the polite bow as a show of respect!

Hidden gem in Piscataway. Relaxing and homey atmosphere. The menu is simple and top tier and there’s nothing else close to it. Music and service is also really calming and inviting. Highly recommend their staple udon noodles and pork buns.

A very quaint and cute restaurant. Service and staff were friendly.
However, you do have to wait a while once you order. When we came, it wasn’t very busy but still took a while to get our ramen. I would hate to see this place when its busy. It will be a lot of hangry customers.
The chicken karaage appetizer was good but pretty small in portion size.
The ramen was ok. I’ve had better. They charge an additional $1 for an egg fyi.
