Didn’t get a chance to try the food. Walked in, 2 servers were sitting and eating. One looked up, asked how many we had, then said, “y’all sit wherever” in between bites of food, like she didn’t have time to be bothered. Keep in mind, the sign says please wait to be seated. We left. Had to tell the server we leaving because of her rude greeting. She looked dumbfounded. Even started asking the only other people in the restaurant if they thought she had been rude. They agreed. Won’t be back. The reviews about the service being bad seem to be on point.

Great food and service! The food came out promptly and was cooked exactly as ordered. Would recommend. Definitely a cozy atmosphere and not incredibly formal.

A good restaurant that has declined. In the past Shoku was a place where the food was delicious and the service was friendly. Over the last year the food became inconsistent – several times the meal was so salty the food was difficult to eat. I always returned to Shoku hoping the food would better than my last time. Sometimes it improved, other times it did not. Tonight was the last time I will dine at Shoku. The restaurant had ran out of soup with no substitutions offered. I found a bone fragment in my teriyaki chicken and rice. My server never returned after taking my order. I had been ready to leave for some time. the owner saw me stand up and anticipated my walking to the register and grabbed my ticket. Finally, the girl that rang me up asked how my meal was. I told her I was disappointed there was no soup and nothing else substituted. She said “that’s the way it is” and I replied “but you are still charging me the same price even though I didn’t get everything included” and she walked off. And so did I. Goodbye Shoku!

Food is always great, staff is always friendly… just wish they wpuld get their phone system out of thr 80s. I called 84 times to a busy signal. I would spend alot more money with them if I could get them to answer the phone for a to go order…is a simple “Our servers are assisting other customers but will be with you shortly” to much to ask for?

Carrots looked we’re mushy..like they came off other people plate. Waitress wasn’t even friendly. Prices went up and quality of food went down.

Food was good. Well what we ordered. Service. Someone needs retraining. Placed an order for 5 individuals meals woman on the phone said no problem. Some terrible customer service person threw a fit at time of check out when a friend went to pick up the food and wouldn’t split it. Luckily the friend went to pick it up. I would’ve told him to eat the food I would go to McDonald’s

Food used to be good but has gone down hill over the last couple of years. The House Shrimp is hardly ever deveined which is disappointing because I like the steak and shrimp combo.

This is the best Japanese food in the Tri-Cities for me & my family. The service is always great and the owner Toody is very welcoming.

Great place, friendly atmosphere busy so Had to wait a little while for my order, but I didn’t order ahead of time so I expected to have to wait a little while on my order cause they were very busy that’s means they must have good food. My first time eating here ordered takeout it was great.
