I go almost every week! The service there is so sweet, and the food is AMAZING! I peeked at some negative reviews, and I have to say this: everyone has bad days. The majority of the time, the waitresses are SUPER kind and caring, and sometimes, when it’s too busy, they have too many tables to take care of. It gets overwhelming for them, and as a guest, I totally understand that! I’m not entitled to demand orders from them, and I appreciate the service they give! I love all the waitresses, and my friends’ favorites are Miss Lexi, Miss Brittney, and Miss Jordan. I always tip them more than 20% (bare minimum for guests, by the way) because they do the BEST waitressing!

Over a decade, I have never once had a bad experience, from their staff, their food, every single aspect of the establishment is wonderful. Food is incredible, the beverage options are great, and the staff is capable and friendly.
Called in a to-go order today, 9/17/25- the person who took the order did a fantastic job, asked all the right follow up questions, read back my order, confirmed everything- I hope that the staff at my restaurant do as well as they did tonight.

Amazing service, fresh and delicious food! This is an in between casual and fine dining priced restaurant. We were served generous portions and our food cane out quickly. This could be a great place for a romantic diner, 1st date, anniversary, or even just a casual dinner.

My partner and I went to Shogun on a Wednesday evening for dinner around 5pm and we appeared to be the only ones there. We were seated right away and waited on in a timely manner. We got California Rolls and cheese wontons for appetizers and they were absolutely delicious! They provided soup and salad with the hibachi dinner as well. (There was plenty of food!) I got the shrimp and chicken and my partner got the chicken and steak with fried rice. The fried rice was a little bland, but the rest of the dinner was so good that it didn’t matter.
The service was excellent! We had Michael as our waiter and he was very kind, patient, and attentive. The place itself was beautiful and we very much enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be going again soon!!

Had a bad experience the last 2 visits with the way we were treated very rudely and also some food issues (took way longer to get the food, multiple orders were incorrect, and one meal that was supposed to be hot came out near cold). Not sure what’s going on with them, we’ve been regulars for several years and it was great up until 2025? Very strange.

I had very high hopes for this place after reading the reviews, but unfortunately the 16 other people and I were very disappointed in the food. Chicken, dry. Rice, bland and cardboard tasting. Broccoli, barely cooked. Seaweed, old and chewy. Granite the rest of the experience was fine, I can’t agree with the reviews about the food.

Shogun may be me and my husband’s top favorite restaurant in Farmville—excellent for a nice date night. Quiet, upscale atmosphere (don’t be fooled by the exterior), excellent service, and delicious food.
Some of the menu items are a bit pricey, but we like the yakisoba and hibachi options—you can get a lot of food for $13-18. They start you off with crunchy fried wonton chips and yum-yum sauce, and then bring tasty clear onion soup and green salad. Finally you get the entree with a side of rice. We always need a box to take home leftovers.

Food is excellent. Choices varied. I went with the chicken teriyaki meal. You get a sizeable amount of food. Green tea is good. And for those who like sushi, you have lots of options. Try the Yokisaba menu. Good stuff. Big plate. The Bento Boxes are neat as well. The Yakisoba combo dish is good. Its loaded with zucchini, brocolli, onions, and you get beef, chicken and 3 jumbo shrimp.
