Service from the server was great. He was very sweet. We paid almost $100 for 2 adults and 2 toddlers (kids meals). Ridiculously Expensive. Also, my 4yo woke up with violent food poisoning overnight, and we will never go back. It’s so sad this place has gone downhill. It used to be our favorite. It’s just not clean and sanitary anymore. Please don’t trust it.

Shogun steakhouse is really good food wise but portion wise I believe it could’ve been more for the value. Overall, the staff there are super attentive and very quick with the service. The cooks are very skilled as I can see and very little mess ups which are pretty good. Also very surprising for no noodles.

Celebrated a birthday of a relative here October 26, 2024. Reservations were for 7p for a party of 14. We were seated at 7:20p. Upon entering the restaurant I noticed how intimate and small it is. Seating is limited if you are waiting. At 7:20p we walked to the back to our seats. We were seated at the back two tables. It is a bit tight in there, meaning it’s small. We received a small serving of soup with one slice of mushroom and a ginger salad. It was very delicious. I chose the filet and shrimp and it was amazing! The service and the presentation from the chef was on point Overall, the food was terrific and flavorful. The place is intimate and you will feel the flame the chef uses during his presentation. I would go back because the prices are cheaper than Kobe’s.

My family of six ate at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse recently. The food was good overall, and our chef put on a decent hibachi show that kept everyone entertained.
However, a few things stood out that made the experience less enjoyable than in the past. Portion sizes were noticeably smaller than I remember, and our waitress never came back around for drink refills. The restaurant itself is also really starting to show its age — the décor looks tired and drab, the carpet was dirty, and the ventilation hoods over the grills were also visibly dirty.
It wasn’t a bad meal, but the place could definitely use a refresh and a bit more attention to service to get back to what it once was.

Tastes the same as before Covid thank god. They also do a great job to be gluten friendly if you bring your own gluten free soy sauce which for the wife she has an allergy this is great.

Amazing service, great food, and entertaining! Would come here every week if I could! The place is a cute hole in the wall with a bar and a cozy vibe to it. This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants.
