This place has been a special one for our family for as long as i can remember remember. Back in the 90s, it was the only hibachi place around, I’ve tried others Nakama (Southside) and a few other locations and names that I can’t remember. Shogun is still the best in every way, food, and especially the service. Today, we had an amazing chef who has been working there for 18 years. I don’t know his name, unfortunately, but he was an awesome chef who was easy to joke around with and made sure we had a wonderful time. Food was cooked perfectly as always, and the ladies are wonderful as well. She made sure our glasses were full and that we were satisfied. I’d say 10 out of 10, they hit it out the park again. Thank you all for a wonderful time celebrating 3 birthday both my parents. Our friend of the family turned 83 today. Tomorrow is my father’s birthday and the 11th is my mother’s. Happy birthday! Thanks for a wonderful Sunday evening

Just came here for the first time with my boyfriend for an early Valentine’s Day dinner! He had been here years earlier with a group of friends but I myself had never experienced hibachi style dining and OH MY GOD!❤️please whatever you do do not believe the bad reviews. The staff is so nice and welcoming and the chefs are VERY talented. While the outside doesn’t look like much the inside is BEAUTIFUL. the ginger dressing on the salad was so good! I like it better than tapei Tokyos dressing. My steak was delicious and my boyfriend loved his teriyaki chicken.the yum yum sauce is fantastic.while it is pricey it’s worth it for the quality and quantity of food you get.please if you haven’t already GO TO SHOGUN YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED
PS: to all the people complaining they’re turned away an hour before closing look on the google info section it says it’s suggested you make a reservation
We had a reservation for 530pm and we’re seated 5 minutes later with 2 other couples
They do charge an 18% gratuity charge but it is well deserved! From what I saw the restaurant is very clean as well and the dim lighting in my opinion actually enhances the mood

From the outside this place looks a bit run down but inside is an entirely different story. It’s very nice visually, has a pond inside and the seating is very comfortable. The food was excellent and the lunch special was a good value

This restaurant is just okay. Prices are none better than any other Japanese steakhouses. Very pricey the chef was okay. New which is understandable did a good job. But drink prices are overrated you buy a fancy glass and get almost nothing in it. The food is good but very overpriced. This is a skip for me because I have been to other ones. The building is also in need of some major maintenance the lights on the outside of the building are over half burned out. Not very attractive. And feels like you are walking into a dump.

Food was amazing, and our chef was very talented with his tricks and how he cooked our food, even made my girlfriend a “20” from the rice. He was very polite, would definitely recommend going here to eat.

Well its now no suprise why I didn’t need a reservation on a Saturday at 7pm my girlfriend and I dined here and she had ordered the sushi and for myself the vegetables shown in the photo however she was served 5 min after we were seated.. I wasn’t served until 25 min later.. Not the experience I drove out here for on a date night . Not to mention the waitress came to my table 3 times and she never asked if I wanted to have another drink even with it sitting empty on the edge . Cold restaurant.. No music.. And the food was mixed in temperature. Completely unacceptable.
