Reviews
One of the best things about Shogun is that it is reasonably priced which makes dining here a great value for what you get. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always makes us feel welcome. The atmosphere is fun and lively, making it perfect for a family night out or even a romantic date night.
And let me tell you about the yum yum sauce – it is out of this world! If you are a fan of dipping sauces, you have got to try this. It pairs perfectly with rice, veggies, and chicken, and is definitely worth asking for.
Overall, if you are looking for a restaurant that has it all – great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere – then Shogun is the place to be. Highly recommended!

time to place our orders and get them cooked. I did not order the hibachi because I feel that too much butter is added during preparation of the dishes and the meats are always overcooked. Consequently, I ordered soft shell crab, could have used a bit more seasoning, soy bean and skewers of beef & shrimp . The food is mediocre. Service was sort of slow. The waiters and cooks are very courteous and helpful.
Unfortunately, what we experienced was far from celebratory.
The hibachi chef gave us a rushed 5-minute presentation no tricks, no interaction, and clumpy, undercooked rushed rice. I initially assumed he may have been new and decided not to let it ruin our night.
But just a few minutes later, we watched that same chef serve a family nearby with a full, enthusiastic show he was flipping utensils, tossing food, laughter, interaction… the complete hibachi experience we’ve come to expect.
Although I peeped the difference immediatly it wasn’t until my 8-year-old turned to me and said, “Mommy, can I go sit with them?” that I knew I needed to speak up.
I’m not someone who jumps to make things about race, but in this moment, it was hard not to. The only noticeable difference between our table and theirs… was the color of our skin.
I spoke with the manager, who offered little more than a shrug and a half-hearted apology.
We won’t be back. And I’m sharing this because experiences like this where families like mine are made to feel less than should NEVER be normalized or dismissed.
Do better, Shogun. DO BETTER.
Chief os excellent.
Waitress very professional, friendly, helpful good job!
Recommended to visit, price is right reasonable..
Most important is ,, fresh food ,,
Have enjoyed hibachi fun for about 10 years here. Feel so sorry they lost all Google reviews due to Google account change . I remember they had rated at 4.5+ or something, with tens of thousands reviews.
We got soup for both meals, which I don’t care for and ended up eating two spoonfuls and then threw away and I ended up also tossing the massive amount of fried rice they gave me because I hate fried rice. For $35, the 6 shrimp that I got and 4 bites of vegetables did not make me happy. It was certainly not worth what I paid. The other person was also disappointed they got soup instead of the salad.
