Definitely a great place for a night out of food and drinks with friends. The food was delicious. Definitely sit at the Hibachi grill for an amazing experience. The service was great. The only negative is that my group and I waited for a long time for our chef and to get any food/drinks. It was worth the wait but if you’re in a hurry try this place when you have time.

Waited about an hour and a half for them to come cook our dinner. Manager apologized and we still waited 20 more minutes. First time here and won’t be coming back. Food better at Fuji in janesville Wisconsin. Total time there just under 2 1/2 hours. Bill was way too much also. So disappointed. Also, took so long to get everything going we missed what we wanted to do for the night and took our food home to eat it later…. maybe. We might just throw it away as the food was bland and not flavorful. The group that came in after us waited 45 minutes and the manager again came over and apologized to them. I told the manager you said the same thing to us and we still waited 20+ minutes. I asked her to give our discount for the bad service to those people on top of their discount for waiting so long. She ignored me and left. The people that came 1 1/2+ after us thanked us and I recommended Fuji in Janesville. They said they might try it even though it’s a father drive. Don’t go here if you have a different choice. There are better places.

I booked a table months in advance for a double birthday celebration. We got seated way in the (new?) back room by the kitchen doors. The birthday song and ice cream were brought out immediately after our chef cleaned the grill. Even tho our server said to take our time, they were hurrying us along to take plates away and bring new clean plates for the next guests. We barely had time to enjoy our birthday celebration. The chef was fantastic and entertaining, however. It felt totally chaotic and I don’t plan to dine here again.

My husband found this place and it was fantastic! The vegan ramen was divine and they made it spicy for me, as I asked them too. I can’t stop thinking about it still We had a tofu appetizer that had wonderful flavors but I didn’t love the texture of, which is no fault of the restaurant or chef, and the spiced edamame was divine!

That was my first time ever going to shogun. I really enjoyed myself there. The food was delicious. It was very clean and relaxing in there I give them a ten plus I recommend every couple every family member whoever to go down just enjoy yourself. You won’t regret it.
