The sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, and you could really taste the natural flavors of each ingredient with every bite.
Unlike places where the seasoning overpowers everything, here it was clear that the flavors came from fresh, high-quality ingredients rather than artificial seasoning.
What stood out even more was the atmosphere. It felt warm and comforting, like enjoying a home-cooked meal made by your mom.
You can truly feel the care and sincerity not only in the food, but also in the overall experience.
Everything—from the freshness to the taste and the ambiance—was very satisfying.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who appreciates well-made, authentic sushi.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time, since we were in the area based on the previous reviews.
We ordered the edamame to start with Spicy salmon rolls, spider rolls (crab tempura), shogun rolls (shrimp tempura) along with Spicy beef bulgogi.
It’s a small dining area but the service is fast and they are very attentive and polite.
We were greeted and seated quickly, after we ordered, we received a miso soup each and a fresh salad.
I then inquired about the free veggie rolls (if I ordered $40 or more which we did), however it was an online only deal. To our surprise, they brought out the veggie rolls anyway and didn’t charge us for it.
The verdict, everything was so tasty and delicious. Side note:the rolls were very big and we realized that we ordered too much and ended up packing up half of the meal and taking it home. Not upset about that, but definitely should be aware prior to ordering.
We would definitely come back here again!

We wrapped up the holiday season a couple of weeks ago with a family dinner at Sho Sushi. We have ordered take out a number of times before, but had not dined in the restaurant. There were five of us including my 18-month old grandson. We booked in advance and our table was ready with a high chair when we arrived. The food was fantastic! Everything we had was presented beautifully (an experience you don’t get with take out) and tasted great. The service was also perfectly timed and super friendly. My husband is not a big fan of rolls and fish, but there were still great options for him on the menu. He ordered Bulgogi with rice, which was delicious. In fact, everything we ordered was delicious. The rolls are a generous size, so we may have ordered a bit too much, but we were happy to take food home with us. It was interesting to watch the steady stream of people picking up take out orders – no one had to wait. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Recently went here with my family (including my toddler) and had an amazing experience. The food was all excellent and the timing between dishes was quick. The server (Ruby) was very attentive and took great care of us.
An especially nice touch was the mini sushi (strictly egg and veggie, for safety) the owner made for my son to enjoy. He was extremely happy to get the same food the adults were eating and it made his night.
The atmosphere was also quite nice. The other guests were friendly and understanding if my son made any noise. Overall an excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for sushi and rolls in Newmarket.

The rolls here are great! My friend and I came for lunch and ordered a few different rolls (Green dragon roll, sweet yam roll, avocado cucumber roll and a lunch special (Dynamite+California roll, I think?)) and we were stuffed.
Even though it was a little bit busy the server was kind and helped us decide on our order. I would definitely come back here again in the future.

Amazing place for sushi and they use really fresh ingredients!
Our server Jay was super friendly and very accommodating. We had a rambunctious child with us and Jay was so patient and kind, we were so grateful for his superb service!!
Portion sizes were awesome and the taste of the rolls were very well balanced and creative! Definitely our go to place for sushi in Newmarket and we’re so glad we came across this local family owned gem!!

For Sho this place is definitely a hidden gem for sushi in Newmarket. The food is outstanding! We ordered a boat which has fresh sashimi that melted in your mouth. Nigiri that was the perfect amount of rice to meat ratio. A roll that was perfectly made with lots of fresh ingredients neatly rolled and didn’t fall apart when you ate it. We ordered edamame beans that were perfectly salted, and tempura that wasn’t heavily battered and fried to perfection. Food was so good, we left thinking when will we come back. The servers were so attentive and so kind. The restaurant just celebrated their 6th anniversary and gifted customers with cute chopsticks – what a kind token! Let’s keep the celebration going by ordering a boat/party tray.

Went here on a friday evening with my friends. For a table of 6 we got the 80 pc boat and some apps. The sushi was amazing woth large portions and great rice. The sashima was fresh and melted in my mouth. The best part was, the server was really cute. This is definately my comfort restaurant.

We LOVE Sho!!! Everyone is super friendly and kind- especially Ruby!!! We miss Pia too- she was fantastic! The food is so delicious and it is our favorite sushi place by far! Love the hand written notes and extra attention to detail.
