Fish in the hot oil is a family favorite; it’s full of chili flavor but not too spicy. We also frequently order various dishes paired with tofu and douhua (a softer version of tofu). Eggplant and tofu, douhua fish, stone pot douhua beef… Growing up in New York gave me my own appreciation for the abundance of Chinese food. While Atlanta’s Chinese food scene isn’t as extensive as New York’s, if you’re looking for authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine, head to Sho Spicy. It’s an authentic Sichuan restaurant. As locals, we’ve been eating there for over five years—delicious, hygienic, and incredibly fast ordering.

Fantastic place if you like spicy food. Braised chicken in chili oil was my favorite. We also ordered mapo tofu, which was not bad as well. Numbing pepper dry pot chicken was okay.

I’m a big fan of authentic Sichuan Chinese food and this place does not disappoint. I have been to several of the top rated Chinese restaurants in Atlanta, and this tops the list. I hope all of the best for them!

Elegant entryway that leads to a spacious, richly decorated dining room; Very classy.
Ordered Singapore rice noodles that taste like chicken ramen noodle packet in the greatest way possible. It is an entire meal and is I think the best I’ve ever had. The braised pork belly is a ridiculous portion of soft fatty protein that has the consistency of pot roast with a beautiful braised skin. The combination of the two is divine. Try the hot and sour soup, and the wonton with hot oil is not for the feint of heart. Think ultra spicy wonton soup.

This food was dreadful. The spicy and pickled cabbage weren’t bad, but I thought the cuts with the cabbage were too big. This resulted in bigger pieces instead of smaller ones, which made them messy eats. That bacon and cauliflower concoction was horrendous! The cuts weren’t even with the cauliflower, and that bacon looked like sausage and had a funky order, as if it was sour! It didn’t even taste fresh either, needless to say it gave me an upset stomach! That beef and cilantro soup was bland and flavorless, and I will most likely donate it to my favorite place, the trash! The beef was super tiny so you couldn’t even enjoy eating the beef with the soup having so much broth. Very disjointed. For the money spent, not worth it. With there being better places to get similar dishes around the area, I’d stick to those.

This place is amazing! Went here with 3 friends on a Saturday night. Service was SO quick (less than 10 minute wait after we ordered) and out waitress was so kind. The food was amazing.
We ordered steamed rice with Shan City chicken, eggplant with spicy garlic sauce (my fav), house combination fried rice, and mapo tofu. I’d recommend all of them, but the Shan City chicken was only OK. The sauces in the tofu and eggplant were amazing over steamed rice.

Best Chinese food in the area – always hot and fresh. We usually do pickup once a month or more and are never disappointed. Leftovers the next day are great too, as shown in photo.

My favorite place to get spicy Szechuan.
The Hot and Numbing Combo Pot is top of my last-wish death-bed meal list.
The word ear mushrooms with peppers is another go to. The Beef dry pot is absolute fire. The Shan city chicken is to die for. The tofu ski
n is superb. You really can’t go wrong. Although I’ve mostly ordered delivery, I recently moved right down the street from this place. The atmosphere of the brick and mortar is elegant, and the presentation of the food is surprisingly delightful. The hot and numbing hot pot actually comes out in a fancy cauldron with a charcoal flame lit beneath it.
I highly recommended. I wish I could give this place 11 stars. I tip my hat to the magicians back in the kitchen. Bravo

Coconut and Bang Bang Shrimp are excellent. Salt and Pepper Prawn Entree and Dry Numb is very spicy at two chili pepper rating. I would highly recommend a green tea to finish the meal.
