A quaint neighborhood restaurant with quality food. The portions are a good size for the price and the food is really tasty! Not pictured was the pork katsu curry which was too delicious and devoured before I got to snap a pic lol. definitely would visit again! Really delicious.

Sho turned out to be a delightful place to meet up with a friend for a refined, delightful lunch. I had the chicken katsu bento box, which was everything I hoped for, plus it came with something I’ve never run into before – a light potato salad that I really enjoyed.

It’s been a few years since our last visit and it was well worth the trip. Loved the variety of rolls on the menu and the sake selection was exceptional! Service ✅Food✅Vibe ✅ Mahalo SHO|Japanese Restaurant!

I had a bento box with Wagyu beef teriyaki and Chicken teriyaki. The beef was better than the chicken. I have to say that it doesn’t seem like these meats are marinated at all in the teriyaki sauce like they used to be in the 1970’s. These days teriyaki sauce is merely placed on top of meats. It’s just not as flavorful as it should be when a meat is marinated overnight in a sauce. With that said the meal was better than anything you can get in Texas. I wish they would put as much work into these items as they do sushi.

Lovely and authentic Japanese restaurant. I wasn’t expecting to find this at a place on Barbur next to a round table pizza! We’ve been to Japan 3 times and I can tell you that the staff were speaking Japanese. The food is very good and authentic, and the prices are quite reasonable. I do like they have a parking lot, which is something that you miss out on when going to Murata (although they have a paid garage) or Masu downtown. We’ll visit again soon!

Yoo! This place is now on the top of my list for sushi and drinks. I love that they have weekly specials, a very nice bar and variety of selections. It got busy very fast but the service was still great. You can go here for sushi, udon, ramen and drinks and alot of other dishes. I especially love the seafood ramen

Wow. I didn’t expect the quality coming out of here! Everything was very tasty. The black garlic ramen was the best I’ve had in a long time. The fish was excellent and on a short list of local sushi restaurants where I truly love the nigiri.

Very disappointed in the quality. In laws were in town and wanted sushi. We just finished the Japanese garden and I was initially drawn to the high reviews for this place.

Very fresh! And although the sushi selection wasn’t very large they had some unique parings. My wife and I decided to come here for her birthday and we were not disappointed. I ordered tuna (yellowfin) and salmon sashimi and my wife got a roll.

we went twice thought we found an authentic local japanese restaurant. The service is good overall. The first time we ordered two rolls and feels satisfied about the taste . The second time I decided to try chirashi don . The freshness of fish is below average except salmon. bluefinTuna is okay . Ahi tuna lacks of texture and tastes sour. I am very surprised the quality is not good and presentation is very poor.
