Eating here felt like I was eating my grandmother’s cooking. So nourishing and well worth the wait.
Hands down best dosa I’ve had in the US to date. Plus is all food is onion and garlic free which makes it that much more accommodating to food sensitivities.
Freshness tasted in every bite.
And they’re on doordash!

Beautiful temple next door, great place to meditate.

The atmosphere isn’t like one is back in India – but it comes close. It is a simple place, and on a cold New England winter night, it was a nice refuge from the cold.

The food – we ordered a plain dosa, the Mysore Masala and the Nellore Khaaram – the dosas were all well made, my own stand out favorite was the Nellore Khaaram. Its a tangy, tomato paste, with some red chilli mixed in – spicy ( as in flavorful) but not very hot at all. Chutney was good, my only critique would be for the sambhar – no issue with the flavor, it was good, but I found it a bit watery in consistency. All in all, highly recommend it, and I would go back.

Some of the best dosa I have had in the US. We also ordered the mango lassi and podi idly. Very simple place with good service.

NEST Canteen is a great spot if you’re looking for fresh, tasty food without onion and garlic. This makes it especially convenient when you’re fasting, or if your parents are visiting from India and prefer meals without onion or garlic you can confidently grab food here without worrying about it.
The food is consistently good, with classic South Indian options like idli, dosa, and vada. The menu changes regularly, so you get to try a nice variety on some days you’ll even find vegetable pulao and other specialties.

Prices are reasonable, usually around $10–$15 per person, which makes it an affordable choice for quality food. Overall, NEST Canteen is reliable, flavorful, and a go-to spot for anyone looking for authentic food without onion and garlic.
