Every time we are in St Maarten we make a point to eat here. It has been here for 16 years and the food is always excellent. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.

Food great. Had a delicious evening meal here. Was recommended to us by a local and did not disappoint. Entrance ( up side steps) and decor would probably mean we might have missed it but glad we went. Great vegetarian options as well as meat and fish. Good value and good portions. You can choose your spice level too. Had poppadoms and raitha to start which was fresh and tasty. Then Paneer murgh makhani and land korma plus rice and naan basket. All fresh, tasty and not one bit left. Fab. Will return.

We were recommended by my grandfather and boy what a recommendation. We walked in and it was pretty quiet, as the owner greeted us he was super friendly and gave us good advice on the portions and what to get. It didn’t take long for us to get the butter chicken some garlic naan and rice. Words cannot describe the taste of this food. As someone who’s been to many places this is hands down the best Indian food I’ve had especially in SXM. I would definitely recommend coming here and sharing dishes with your friends or significant other or whoever is hungry! The owner is super awesome and will make sure you have an awesome experience. 10/10 will come again.

This might be the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted with some of the chefs own specialties. The eggplant vegetarian peanut dish was one of those specialties.
How any of the nearby resorts are still in business (with their bland meals) I’ll have no idea. I guess the food here is only for people who like taste! Amazing. Honestly I’d come to the island just for this food.

I’ve traveled extensively, but I’ve rarely experienced such fine and authentic Indian food as at Shiv Shakti. I always look forward to returning. From vegetarian to non-vegetarian, there’s something for everyone on the menu. The dishes are generous and always freshly prepared. The spiciness of many dishes can be customized. The value for money is unbeatable.

Our last night in town, we decided to Shiv Shakti and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered the meat samosa, garlic Naan, mixed fried rice, lamb vindaloo and conch curry. The flavors were excellent. We ordered medium level spice and it definitely packed some heat. When we come back to town, we’ll definitely eat here again.

We read a review that said don’t expect great service just sit down and enjoy the food and OH MY GOD was that true. We were in Sint Maarten for 7 days and ate here three times. It is a hole in the wall with the best food we had on the island by far. We haven’t had Indian food this good since we were in India. We had a different naan, different rice, different entrees at every visit and there was not one single miss. Their rating should be much much higher. Unbelievable.
