Social Profile:

Located just off the Four Corners of Medina, NY, the Shirt Factory has been operating as a successful cafe since opening in 2006. In 2018, four Medina natives purchased the business with plans of highlighting the area’s rich history while helping to excite people about the future. Today, the Shirt Factory is an award winning coffee shop and cocktail bar. With a full coffee, espresso, and special drink program during the day and craft cocktails at night, there is something for any time of day. On a side note, the cocktails largely pay tribute to Medina’s past, so you’re bound to get a little history along the way.

How it is Liz
I recently visited The Shirt Factory in Medina and I loved my time there!

We stopped in for drinks only. The bartender was very friendly and eager to help make selections. I tried their California Gurls cocktail, and wow it was incredible! The mix of blueberry, espresso, with a lit bit of sweetness was really unique and well balanced.

What really made the visit special was the atmosphere. The building itself has so much history, and I loved seeing the old black and white photos on the walls. They were taken when this place was an actual shirt factory over a century ago!

Between the amazing cocktail and the cool history surrounding me, it was an experience. I’ll definitely be back, I especially want to try their dirty martini deviled eggs. This is a must-visit if you’re anywhere near Medina. On the street parking available.

This is definitely a Western NY hidden gem! Went to check out their brunch since I keep hearing this place mentioned. Loved the fall themed coffee and alcoholic drinks! I even got a coffee to go since there were too many amazing options on the menu to try just one. The food was perfection! Food and drinks were fresh, and they did not skimp on the presentation. Staff is very friendly and made the overall experience more enjoyable. Fingers crossed that they start to brunch on more than 1 day.

This is THE PLACE to brunch in Medina! The historic building provides an upscale dining experience while the owners serve delectable, and affordable, dishes. Try one of their creative “toasts.” I ordered a toast with two sunny side up eggs over melted cheese, leafy greens, and butternut squash topped with walnuts. What a treat! A mimosa, a bacon old fashioned and special cider shot made me ever so ready to continue a vigorous days trek on the Empire State Trail.

The details of the decor are very interesting and intriguing! I love the preservation of local history. We had coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning which were phenomenal and lattes in the afternoon. Very friendly, warm and delicious offerings!

I ordered a classic gin martini. It wasn’t listed on the menu. Bartender was like an artist the way he made it. I never tasted anything so cool and clean. It made me feel civilized. I took my flat cap off.

The old Robert H. Newell & Co. shirt factory is gone but never forgotten. Medinans have always been proud of the company’s history here. The mood in this austere ground floor bar is subdued and mellow. The mosaic tile floor is the same from when the room was used as a barbershop back when I was a kid. Mr. Moriarty would give you a stick of juicy fruit gum after all the cutting was done. I prefer the gin-saturated olive at the bottom of my cocktail glass now. You step back in time in all kinds of ways when you enter the Shirt Factory cocktail bar.

Tasty food for multiple people. Salads and appetizers and charcuterie boards and coffee and alcohol. Even dry-cocktails from the bar. Bike rack on the property. It was a bit pricy, so drinks and foods for multiples I say. But it was quiet and very clean and the bartender/server was cordial & accommodating.
