One of a kind, very familiar foods if you grew up in the south. Collard greens and fried chicken is going to be better than yo-momma’s. Each dish is wonderful. The fish is delicious with anything they serve and if you have room for dessert try the cinnamon apple. The only thing, everything is served on disposable dishes but their kitchen focuses on love into their food preparation. Definitely coming back.

I visited here over 10 years ago when I helped build the Harbor Freight store next door. As I remember they were a lot busier at lunch and therefore the food was fresh and delicious. On today’s visit, the most remarkable item was the sweet tea. It was delicious. The pinto beans were tasty and flavorful to the point I could have made a meal with a big bowl of them, some chow-chow & cornbread. However, the fried whiting fish was too old and had dried on the edges to the point it was “fish jerky”. The collard greens tasted more like the tin-can they came out of. No amount of pepper sauce would help them. The lady behind the cash register was as sweet as pie. I will try them again if the parking lot has more cars in it.

The food portion was very small for the price my meat was red in the inside. The up charge for a breast is $3.99 which is ridiculous. You can go to Roasters in Buckhead and up charge a whole chicken to white meat $4.00. No military discount and it’s more when you pay with card. I will not be coming back the veggies had no taste . I don’t live in the area stop by and it was not a good experience..

The restaurant is located @ the Exxon travel store… I had the Turkey wing dinner for lunch… This was some of the best soul food I’ve had on the road… I hope I get back to the area soon so that I can try some more selections…

Terrible experience. Don’t go. Canned vegetables. Lack of seasoning. Wait time gor inital service poor. Refill for food had to wait in purchasing line. Dessert were also not good.
