I took my team of nine to breakfast here yesterday. Without using words, the young lady at the counter basically said, ‘You are bothering me. I don’t want to be here and I don’t want YOU to be here.” She seemed extremely put out to have to take our order. I don’t want to be unkind, but people need to be trained to be pleasant, even when they don’t feel like it. Frankly, it soured our experience. I’m sure she’s a delightful person…perhaps just having a bad day. But the food was excellent, as always!

Unassuming little restaurant. I stopped in for a late lunch. I ordered the seasonal salad and my friend ordered the Cobb salad. Everything was fresh, crispy, and delicious. The salads also come with a fresh, well-made Parkerhouse roll. The staff was friendly and the portions generous. My other friend ordered a panini, which was fresh and delicious.

Shirley’s is a great local bakery. The sweet rolls are top notch. Soft, chewy, and tender bread topped with a generous amount of fluffy frosting. They are reasonably priced as well, about $1/ each for a large dinner roll sized bun. You can’t go wrong with raspberry, orange, or cinnamon … and go for the cream cheese frosting!

Love Shirleys. Their sweet rolls are amazing. My favorite are the lemon and the raspberry sweet rolls. Such fun flavors and they are so soft and delicious. Their sandwiches and salads are also so good. We tried a breakfast sandwich which we really liked because it had great flavor and didn’t have an egg in it which is pretty unusual for a breakfast sandwich.

My experience here today was not spectacular. Shirley’s has a great idea, but I wasn’t That happy with my sandwich. Perhaps it was just the time of day. But, my experience was good enough to give this place a second chance.

Very friendly service and even better baked goods! Shirley’s has some really large sweet roles that are absolutely delicious but very difficult to finish. There is always a good smell when you walk into the bakery!

I like that I didn’t have to order breakfast at breakfast time. The resturant let us order lunch. I ordered Cali Club on white bread, BBQ chips and drink. I also bought a container of rolls that is half blueberry and other half lemon. Can’t wait to try them. I love any type of pastries or breads. Will go back and bring daughters to try. I really like that Shirley’s doesn’t waste by using Styrofoam or cardboard for serving food. Just a smaller cookie sheet and parchment paper. Way to save the environment.

My family has been buying at Shirley’s for more than 20 years. They are routinely out of items, they close early everyday, their prices are now steep ($9.00) for a small bottle of apricot jam). I don’t think our rolls were fully baked because they went flat like they had been sat on, even though I paid $0.75 a piece for the boxes to take them home. If you bought four dozen rolls for $27 should you have to pay to a box?
