Best fried shrimp in the area. Try the claws fried too and hush puppies. Staff always treats us well and the service is great. Plan to wait in season and pack your patience and it will be worth your wait. We did not have a wait but sometimes you might. Cold beer with some local crafts too. Thanks to the wreck!

This is our go to restaurant in Port St Joe and we always make sure to recommend it to anyone visiting town! Can’t go wrong with the Shrimp and Grits or the Deviled Crab, and the hush puppies are the best in town for sure, as well as the Gumbo! Staff are always so friendly and food always comes out quick.

My family and I stayed in Indian Pass for scalloping this weekend. We found out about this place through Google. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. But our table was all seated very quick, less than 10 mins and our server was awesome! We tried some delicious appetizers and drinks. Our meals all came out HOT and that is one BIG plus for a table of 7! We really liked this place and will definitely be back when we are in the area!

I was enjoying my birthday, cruising on my ebike, and decided this was the place I wanted to be for my celebratory dinner and sunset on the beach. Was going to grab everything to go, but the fabulous bartender Michelle had me at hello. As a lifelong foodie, I appreciate the little things, especially on vacation. She guided me thru all the nuances of a great meal, quickly made it happen (she was dead on with suggestions), boxed up what I couldn’t eat (I ordered everything lol), made me a drink and a key lime pie to take to beach, held the leftovers until I returned, and all during a rush that started the minute they opened the door. I don’t think I have had such exceptional and efficient service in one long hot minute. Michelle said she had worked there for over 5 years and she loved her job. Well, it certainly shows. The restaurant is casual and old Florida cool. I will definitely be back.

This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Excellent seafood, service and atmosphere. Be sure to try the grouper nugget poboy and crab cake sandwich! We ate there twice during our short visit. We will be back!

Delicious breakfast and super friendly staff. Walked right in and sat at the bar. Service was quick and everyone open to conversation. Definitely need to go back for another meal so I can try their seafood. Edit: went back and got crab cake eggs Benedict. DELICIOUS! Super busy but got seated immediately.

I am so sorry I made a mistake with who whom I ate with. Shipwrecks bar is the bomb! Best food I’ve had so far. I have had breakfast twice and dinner once so far In a week. Can’t get enough of this place. Will add some pictures later. Delicious crab cake Benedict. Hash browns casserole to die for. Service is 5 stars.

A relaxed, beach‑town seafood restaurant known for its casual atmosphere, seaside views, and fresh Gulf catch. It’s a go‑to spot for shrimp baskets, fish tacos, oysters, and seafood platters—perfect after a day on the water.
The Shipwreck caters to beachgoers, boaters, and families seeking simple, satisfying seafood. It’s more of a raw‑bar and tavern than an upscale restaurant—expect friendly, casual service.
It is a very popular place so be prepared for a wait during vacation season.
Our favorite entrees are Shrimp and Grits and The Crab Cakes.
The Shrimp & Grits are large Gulf Shrimp sautéed in Cajun wine sauce with andouille sausage served over creamy grits. Lots of bold flavors and very satisfying.
The Crab Cakes, you get (2) Crab Cakes and one side dish. So let me tell you about the Crab Cakes. You only get (2) because they are enormous!!! You can see and taste all the Crab meat because they are not overly breaded. They do not skimp on the Crab. Served with a spicy mayo for dipping.
I ordered Stuffed Shrimp for the 1st time. It comes with one side. I always order a salad as my side. Few places serve salads so I am always excited when a restaurant offers them. I like the Garden Salad, it’s the perfect ratio of olives, tomatoes, cheese and cucumbers mixed in. The ingredients are always fresh.
I tried the stuffed shrimp to get something different and they were okay. I favor the Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cakes more because they these dishes are much more flavorful!!!

Visited twice!
Breakfast was PHENOMENAL. Had the Wewa Eggs Benedict and cheese grits. DELICIOUS. My waiter/bartender was Noah and he was very kind and made me feel right at home. It was my birthday and he went above and beyond with service. Stated he was new to the establishment and I never would have guessed it! The entire staff team worked together well and it was an atmosphere! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great breakfast spot with home cooked food!
Once for dinner and Joey was the bartender/waiter for my meal. Incredible food (Crab cakes)! Joey was attentive and personable!
