My hopes of finding a Ptown sailor led me to the Shipwreck lounge. With the name I was expecting something rustic but this place is rather classy. Great outside area with a bar and overall a vibrant scene. It is not located on the main “drag” but it is worth the walk over. After a few you may just find that classy sailor rather than a regret.

The Shipwreck is upscale, inviting, and relaxed, with comfortable seating options inside and out, and a fire pit on the patio. It’s great for pre dinner drinks, as well as after dinner/ after show.

My main reason for visiting the Shipwreck is the service. The bar manager, Tommy, is attentive and welcoming, and his attention to detail behind the bar is unmatched. The indoor bar and the patio bar are kept incredibly clean. He is efficient (quick cocktails), and I am never without a drink when he is behind the bar. There is a great team in place and I always enjoy seeing Amanda, Kate, and Brian behind the bar. They are friendly, professional, and a lot of fun! They go above and beyond for guests.

I also have to mention that the pours are consistent, the espresso martini is exceptional, and there is an updated beer list that is much improved. Check out the Shipwreck – it’s worth the short walk up Carver Street!

Very nice outside, fire pit.
Got bartender Timmy.
Limited drink selection, I asked for a wine cooler or something similar.
He said “it’s not 1991”

Not nice, trying to make me feel old….thought he was being funny but it fell flat….left a tip anyway…I was a bartender myself….

Everything was nice except the bad comment…..will not return

We really enjoyed this bar and it wasn’t very busy when we went on a Tuesday night. We made friends around the fire pit and really enjoyed the laid-back warm cozy feeling of the lounge.

Visited this place two nights in a row. First night was great – bartender was super friendly. Second night, the bartender was fantastic, however the manager was a dick. I was standing in front of one of the seats at the bar – unoccupied – placing my order with the bartender, and the manager said “ok can you go place your order over there, at the actual line for the bar? someone is sitting here”. he was rude but i assumed it was the partner of the person he claimed was sitting there and happily moved over. later, i found out he was the manager and after 10 minutes, the person supposedly sitting there never returned. to the owner, i recommend relieving the manager on 6/8 at 10:30pm of his duties. he is terrible as it pertains to customer service.

It’s a nice place to spend an hour with friends, especially a little earlier in the night before you head elsewhere. It had a good selection of mocktails (e.g. phony negronis) for those who don’t drink alcohol or who might need a dryer evening. Customers are friendly here and it’s easy to strike up a conversation and make some new connections

I’ve been coming to Provincetown for years – but regrettably never visited this gem. During cold and rainy 2 weeks in May, this spot turned into a regular go-to place directly beside my Airbnb. It was so cozy and welcoming. I met some amazing people, including locals and visitors. The staff was very friendly and made me feel like a long-time regular. Bartender Ruben especially was attentive and conversational and ensured a good time. Can’t wait to return.

We walked in and unfortunately got greeted
by the manger with a horrible attitude for no reason. He said we couldn’t sit next to an open seat which is understandable if it’s occupied however he yelled at us and humiliated us without reason. He was obviously intoxicated. I don’t judge but also don’t understand how you can manage an establishment while being under the influence. One of the most embarrassing moments I’ve had in a long time.
