Passing through the area and wanted fish. Thought we would give this place a shot since it had great reviews. Food was bland, fish rubbery and overpriced. Waitress was friendly but did not do her job. She disappeared for the majority of the time, did not refill our drinks, when she brought our food out she asked me where my salad was, which i would expect her to know that since i am the customer.. I ordered a strawberry bliss and didnt have any liquor in it. Was basically strawberry lemonaid. Atmosphere was cool, just wished it had better service and better food. Best thing on the table was french fries.

Long overdue review – really great locally owned restaurant! Love the food and the whole ship vibe. And I’m a certified Cajun and believe me when I say the crawfish etouffee is the real deal. Best I’ve had in a restaurant. Hands down. Staff is really good. Well trained and knowledgeable. And every time we have been one if not both of the owners are walking around doing what owners should do. Highly recommended!

My hopes were dashed, Food was bland, my fish was rubbery, high prices, sweet waitress but in attentive.
Update: Less than an hour after leaving 2 of us 3 ended up sick and began vomiting.
Had to lower the score to 1 star cause of that….

We ordered the Norwegian salmon. Dessert was key lime pie and raspberry cheesecake. Good atmosphere, nice staff and great service. The food was delicious.

For our weekly “dinner out night” we enjoyed Shipwreck Grill. I had the Crawfish combo my spouse had the Fish Grand Isle, along with a side of hush puppies + Shipwreck sauce. All of it was really Good! Our server, Jackson was excellent and kept everything moving along with a smile . Would definitely reccomend!

In two weeks of eating at a different restaurant every day in BCS, this was my favorite. Gotta start with the building – these guys are COMMITTED! (And the old location across the street looks like an actual shipwreck.) Inside, everything fits the theme and is appealing. They don’t just offer Cajun cuisine – they have Cajun waiters! (At least, ours was.)
The Jalapeno Poppers were HUGE – see photo of me holding one; it’s nearly grenade-size. I had the Crawfish Combo, and thoroughly enjoyed both the etouffee and the fried crawfish tails.
As Arnold famously said, “I’ll be back.”

It took me a few years to swing by the new and purportedly improved Shipwreck and I sort of wish I would have delayed the stop. Our waitress was excellent, especially for BCS. The new building lacks the charm of the original building but is also much cleaner. Unfortunately the reason for going to a restaurant, the food, was a miss for me. I had the etoufee and it just wasn’t to my liking. Over salted for sure but also missing any layers or complexity of flavor that really good etoufee has.

I was hoping the new built location was going to have better dishes. I quit going after 2-3 times at old location. Food was mediocre and it felt dirty inside. Well I went last night and let me tell you it has not changed. I sat at the bar to wait for my friend. Ordered a Bloody Mary and that was the best thing I had all night$8.00. Service was good and an add was friendly. I ordered the appetizer shrimp diablo and it was dry and overfried with the shrimp just rubbery$10. The entree was the special, blackened Redfish over rice with grilled vegetables$20. It was barely warm and had no flavor. The fish was dry and tough to cut. The rice was bland and also no flavor. The grilled vegetables were delicious though. So after spending $50 with tip left still a bit hungry and disappointed. I won’t be coming back unless I want to drink bloody jar s at the bar. Really not sure how this place stays open.

The ambiance inside is the draw because it looks like a boat inside and they did a great job with the decorations. I left 3 stars for food because the oyster basket was not good, shrimp was ok, grilled veggies were decent, and the fries leave a garlic taste in your mouth all day.

1st time here and boy was it a treat. Delicious shrimp tacos. Request they blacken them. Yummy chicken tacos (I just wish they came on flour instead of corn tortilla. Fried shrimp & fish cooked perfectly. Red beans and rice yummy to my tummy! Black beans are uumm mmm good! And the bartender is amazing! She makes the best drinks . Waitress, Ashley is great with serving her customers . She is very attentive although serving several tables at once . I can’t wait to return to try something else . OooYeah, the boudin egg rolls are a must try .
