We stopped in for a meal while visiting the area for a sporting event at Dennison University. Aaron Shipp was great and very attentive to the needs of the group. Food was delicious and beer wall offers wide variety of drink options. Fun times in Newark, Ohio.

We made a 6:00 PM reservation for my mother’s birthday and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the start. When we arrived, we still had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. That alone wouldn’t have been a big deal, but once we were seated it took quite a while for anyone to greet us. In the reservation notes it was also clearly stated that we were celebrating my mom’s birthday, but it was never acknowledged at any point during the visit.
The restaurant has a self-pour beer system where you are given a card to use at the tap wall. However, no one explained how the system worked. My dad and I had never used anything like that before, and when he went to pour a beer the screen showed $18.21. Naturally he was confused and thought that was the price he was being charged. When he mentioned it, a server walking by responded very rudely saying “that’s how much is left on your card, sir.” If the system had been explained when the card was given to us, the confusion could have easily been avoided.
Service throughout the meal was slow and inattentive. We had a party of five but were only given three napkins initially. Our appetizer took about 20 minutes to come out, and it also took quite a while for our server to come back and take our entrée order. As someone who also works as a server, I try to be very understanding, but the restaurant is not very large and it did not appear to be overly busy.
When our food arrived, both my mother’s sandwich and mine were missing the mayo that was supposed to come on them. Our server only checked on us right when the food first came out and then never returned. I had to flag her down just to ask for napkins and sides of mayo and ranch. The only other time we saw her was when she came to bring the check.
Overall, it was disappointing because we were there celebrating my mom’s birthday and the experience just felt very disorganized and inattentive. I understand that restaurants can have off nights, but clearer communication and more attentive service would have made a big difference.

After leaving another local business that was handing out poor customer service we walked into this place.
We was greeted cheerfully. Sat promptly. Everything was clean (except for the bathrooms that’s shared in the building) our waitress was friendly. Gave us time to look have suggestions and our food come out in a reasonable time and was excellent. Enjoyed every part of it! A totally different experience than what we had just walked out of! Was glad we gave this place a shot.

Arrived shortly after Happy Hour started. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly, hot and tasty. Had self serve beer taps where they give you a card and you select the amount and flavors you want to try and simply pay at the end based on how much you drank. This was first time here and I certainly would love to return.

Brooklyn was a great waitress, she made the best shakes. She was very polite and took care of me and my friend lovette. But kie she was very rude, I tried to ask her a question and she looked at me and kept walking. The food took to long to get to us. It was over cooked and tasted greasy. We asked for an Old Fashion and it was horrible! It was made incorrectly!!!!! Going next door to the BBQ place next time.

The food at Shipp Brothers Brewing is consistently great! Every dish I have tried has been delicious and of great quality. I personally recommend the chip dip burger. The restaurant offers a casual and cozy atmosphere, which is perfect for a relaxed meal. The unique self-pour beer wall is also a very neat concept and fun to use, offering a great selection of beers to sample and generous happy hour(s).
However, what truly elevates the experience to five stars is the service, particularly if you are lucky enough to get Brittany W as your server. She is professional, incredibly attentive, and genuinely enhances the dining experience with her friendly and efficient manner. The staff here are generally great, but Brittany is top-notch.
Overall, it’s an excellent spot for great food, an awesome beer selection, and top-tier service. Highly recommended!

Went on a very busy Black Friday. Only two people when we first got there and then another came onto shift. Wait to be seated and served was not bad at all, considering. Drinks were good, only had an appetizer but it was very good. For the amount of people vs employees it was still a great experience. Will definitely have to come back for dinner one day soon.

Beer selections were good and the fact that I could do beer flight myself, I love it. The appetizer was acceptable. The seating and entre were the disaster. First of all, with 90% empty tables, the host decided to seat us at the tiny tall table. Since it was small and too loud at that spot, We requested changing to one of the boots at the back, hopefully it was lesser noise back there. And gosh, Instead of picking the better seat for us, the lady sat us, right next to the other customer, in which is belongings blocked half side of our table. We had to wait about 3 minutes before we both could get into our seats. Then the food came. My husband burger was ok but the bacon was burned. And my fish tacos were the most disgusting tacos I have ever had. The fish was tiny, over seasoning with their blackened, extremely salty, with the leftover avocado slides. Fish itself didn’t look fresh. It looked like it was marinated 3 days ago. I am cooking, so I know when the fish is over due marinated.
All in all, I gave two stars for the beers. We were excited to try your place, and we were unimpressed and disappointed when we left.

Food was excellent but took a bit too long for most of the table to get their food. Waitress did apologize. Beer selection was great. Very crowded so kind of noisy. And there was music in the background and quite a few big screen TVs which added to the noise. Room is too small for all that. Would still come back
again, however, but not if I want to have a serious conversation with someone.

The food was fine, but a little light on the onion rings. Burgers were good. The beer wall was what made it for me. I would prefer a chilled glass for my beer, but that wasn’t an option. They need to offer a cocktail menu and improve on the atmosphere a bit. Maybe next time I’ll try the one in Mt. Vernon.
