I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Shipley’s location on January 16, 2026. Not only did Carolina fail to return my credit card after a purchase, but a fraudulent charge was made on my card shortly after. When I returned to address the issue, the staff was dishonest—first denying responsibility, then lying about who the manager was, and refusing to provide supervisor/owner names or helpful information. Even after reviewing their own cameras, it was clear that my card was never returned, and the unauthorized transaction was made by their employees.
I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years, but after this incident and the staff’s refusal to accept accountability, I can no longer recommend this business. Their actions were deceitful and untrustworthy. Proceed with caution if you value honesty and integrity.

The donuts here don’t taste like other locations. The chocolate filling is a whipped pudding consistency rather than the thick and creamy icing like consistency of other locations. Also, when I eat the donuts a disgusting film coats the roof of my mouth. They were all cold, hard, and stale. I haven’t had that happen at other locations. The prices seem higher as well. I won’t be returning to this location.

I used to frequent this location monthly but since moving, I only come here a couple times a year. I’ve been here twice in 2026 and I’ve been disappointed both times with the items which are available. At 10 o’clock they told me they have no more kolaches (specific type). The staff themselves are kind but the fact they took my order of kolache’s just to arrive at the window and be told they don’t have them available. anymore. It was incredibly and extremely disappointing.

Always the best experience here. There’s 3 shipleys in about a 5 mile radius.. this one isn’t the closest but it is definitely the one that I prefer. The kolaches are always hot, soft and fluffy.. as well as the donuts. Service is fantastic too.

I always go to that location and today i got to see i think it was the manager im not sure but she was short, chubby, and she had a red cap and the times i have gone i always she is always rude to her employees she yells at them and she’s always in a bad mood with her employees and customers i don’t think manager is the right position for this lady i think she should be trained more and be more kinder to her employees. i don’t see a reason why she should be screaming at them if the times Ive gone i always see them do their job correctly they work well with time and are kind with customers coming in.

They’ll give a Shipleys franchise to anyone now. This is Texas. We don’t drink Pepsi. A Filled Bar is named such for the FILLING inside the bar. It is now laying on the concrete in the Kroger parking lot. At least it’s managed my expectations for the sausage cheese kolache I haven’t eaten yet.

I am really delighted with how quickly they gave me my order whenever I go to other Shipley they take a long time with a small order but in this Shipley they served me very quickly the employees are very friendly I highly recommend this place
