Originally known as The Ship & Crown and Top Deck, the two great sites have come together.
The Ship & Crown is many things; a “proper” traditional pub on the ground floor, offering a great range of Cask Ales, Lagers and Craft Beers and bar snacks. Choose a drink that’s locally brewed in the Channel Islands at the Liberation Brewery or a refreshing Guernsey Rocquette’s cider.
For something a little more classic and relaxed, look no further than the second-floor bar offering a quality range of beers, premium spirits and wines.
Our ‘Top Deck’, located on the top floor of the restored historic building, we offer a fantastic menu and view! Dine and drink in stylish and contemporary surroundings whilst enjoying the breath-taking view o

We visited here for Sunday dinner I asked for a sea / port view if possible. We had a lovely view.
I ordered the roast chicken with bread sauce and veg Yorkshire pudding, parsnips etc. It was delicious the gravy was proper tasty and the whole roast i could not fault. My partner had the crab linguine and a side of onion rings, and potatoes (way too much) but was delicious.
The service was amazing and attentive..
We had a party of 3 arrogant French people who faulted everything which I found rude and typically French..
We loved our meal there

Apart from the five stars for food , atmosphere and service (thanks Saddam), we gave the view across to Castle Cornet full marks as well. Had a really quality lunch then went back for drinks the following evening.

Just got to Guernsey on a short break and past here. Thought we would give it a go. We went to the top floor(top deck) and found a restaurant. There was quite a few different groups of people seated there. The restaurant manager ask if we had booked and we hadn’t. He got us a table. There was a menu and also a specials menu. I had the Crab Arancini from the specials menu and my brother had the shrimp serve on sourdough with a sea food sauce. Not dishes were full of favour(forgot to take pictures). For mains I had the minted lamb burger with skin on fries. My brother had the crab and prawn Linguine. Both meal was full of favour. The service was excellent the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We hope to return for steak night on Thursday. Also a nice view over the harbour well worth a visit

We still had an hour before the ferry to Jersey departed. I knew the Ship & Crown from my last sailing trip. The very courteous host got us a table on the first floor by the window overlooking the harbor. We spontaneously ordered a beefburger bun and a risotto with green beans, peas, and artichokes. The kitchen delivered promptly, and both were truly excellent. The wine list was select and excellent. From the window, we had a direct view of the marina with its sailing ships, and we both enjoyed it very much. We’d love to come back!

We ate a great meal in The Crows Nest on the top floor with amazing views over the harbour. We ate steak with parmesan fries and pork belly. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked and served to us by Joy who gave us great service. What made the meal so enjoyable for us as well, was that there were no TV screens. The background music was really great and playing at just the right volume. Thank you – we’ll be back soon.

We had a lovely meal. I was told by my party that the steaks were spot on, cooked as ordered. Apparently the chips were amazing!
I enjoyed a very tasty light bite and salad and we all had sweets, that were well presented and delish!
The view is spectacular from the restaurant.
It was very quiet, meaning there wasn’t much of a buzz, being January, but we had a great evening despite this……making our own atmosphere

We recently held our work Christmas party at The Top Deck and it was fantastic from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour.
The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the evening. They went out of their way to accommodate us, even kindly adding an extra guest at the last minute without any fuss. Their professionalism and warmth really added to the atmosphere.
The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, creating a festive and welcoming setting that made our celebration feel truly special.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this venue for any group event or festive gathering. We’ll definitely be back!
