This place is honestly awesome! We went here for dinner last night and I got some shrimp tempura , the salmon hibachi and my partner got the steak hibachi. The steak was cooked to perfection and was very flavorful. Now as for the salmon- I used to think I didn’t like salmon but this place totally changed that for me, it was PERFECTLY cooked, it was caramelized and it was so flavorful, the rice was also really flavorful and the perfect amount of salty. The zucchini in the vegetables mix was well cooked, not overcooked that it was mushy or undercooked that it was hard and bitter but just right and it paired really well with the broccoli and mushroom in the mix- but the sauce?? Oh! The sauce was delicious! I would actually just go back for that sauce cause ooof! It was good on everything I put it on. It tasted like a sweet aioli and it made me so happy.
We also got some sodas but that’s nothing to write home about other than it being really cold (I like cold drinks).
They also gave us a chicken broth with our food and it sit really well with my stomach.
We were the only people at the restaurant, which really seemed a shame because it’s such a good establishment. Aside from the food being delicious, the costumer service was elite! The lady at the front was so kind and caring. She checked on us during our meal to see if we liked everything (which we really did as you can tell) and when we were living she asked us twice if we wanted a bag to take our left over food which was really attentive and super caring in my books. That is going above and beyond for me and I really appreciate it.
Other than that, the place was really clean, they had both a trash and recycling bin, the heating wasn’t working but other than that the place was in good condition.
They also had Taylor Swift on their screen and as a Swiftie that’s a BIG APPROVED from my part!
You should definitely check this place out if you can, it won’t disappoint!
Personally I like to get take out rather than eat in – I think of it more as an upgrade to a fried rice/lo mein craving rather than a super fancy hibachi (Note that the food isn’t cooked in front of you and the place is low-ambiance)
The price is amazing! I was almost shocked they use real sea scallops (they do and they’re huge). The texture on the rice was perfection.
The rice and noodles are heavily salted and no frills (rice and noodles only, no or very little other stuff like onions or peas or egg) and the vegetable portion is a little small, but at their prices, i couldn’t really complain.
The shrimp in the noodles was not the same as the hibachi entree (could just be cut in half but they seemed more mealy). The lobster was super overcooked and salty, but the cook on the scallops was amazing.
Looking forward to upgrading my fried rice and lo mein cravings in the future
Pros:
* Yum-Yum sauce.
* Friendly customer service.
* Sensitive to allergies.
Cons:
* You get a ton of rice, not too much else.
* Rice is quite plain and very salty, mostly butter and soy sauce.
* Salmon was overcooked, mostly dry, not great.
* Veggies were so-so.
* Clear soup was cold me for and underwhelming.
* Heat was not working in the building per the staff and was very cold inside.
I will not be going back for another visit.
