Outstanding food! Upscale gastropub style food and generous portions. Plenty of seating both indoors and out. Atmosphere is great. Historical meets modern design and decor. Our server was well above average! Attentive and super friendly. Most of my reviews are done in large urban areas like Chicago or St. Louis with very few reaching a total 5 star review, however this one hits on all levels. Great job hope to see a location in Chicago soon!

Went in on a Thursday for lunch the week before the Walnut Valley Festival. We were seated upstairs with maybe 10 other tables. Not too many people in there. Staff were very friendly and the investment in the building, decor, unique car/ railway items is nice to see. Amenities are also updated and nice.
Food was usual bar and grill vibe, good portion sizes and relatively quick for what was ordered.
The fried pickles were amazing. Cut like chips, the batter held nicely and the flavor was good.
Ordered 3 sandwiches, the chicken tenders. All nicely cooked, the tender batter could have been a little crispier as it didn’t stick to the chicken as much I’d like but all the sides were tasty and fresh. Would recommend as a good spot to accommodate a group who want a good range of food. Was reasonably priced for what you get.

Shindigs leaned into the train depot aesthetic, which was cohesive and interesting. Not only were there lots of train-related artifacts throughout the restaurant, but it is located right next to an active railroad.
The service was okay. The servers and hostess were kind and enthusiastic, but our order had several errors. Everyone at my table enjoyed the food. I had the Katsu Me Outside special. The pork was the star of the dish. I thought the rice was a bit gummy and the slaw was bland. The pork was excellent though!
My last thought is that the whole restaurant is very loud. It is tough to hear your party at your own table. There isn’t anything to absorb the sound.

We eat here religiously and have since they opened. They make the best chicken fried steak around. Everything is always seasoned well, the drinks are cold, and they have a wide variety of food and drinks. The decor is so cool and unique. We love the staff. If there is ever an issue, they are quick to fix it and are very helpful and nice. They make an excellent bloody mary!

My family and I had a wonderful evening here with truly scrumptious food, excellent service (thanks, Lexie!) and a terrific atmosphere. The seasonal menu was creative without being pretentious, and everything was cooked perfectly. The building has been restored in a really thoughtful way, which adds to the whole experience. We will definitely be coming back!

The atmosphere is great old rail road decor. The food was good, except the chicken salad. It is a little loud inside but overall a good experience. Arrived at noon on Labor Day so the place was slammed. Tiny bit slower from order to table but considering the crowd, expected. Chips are house made and worth the calories

Wow! Best burger on Gluten Free bun I have had in years and my mother had the best reuban sandwich of her life with fresh made chips! Side salad was so fresh and delicious. I also had a fabulous bloody Mary. Perfection all around. Clean restrooms, plenty of back parking and cool atmosphere. Cheers to Shindigs!!

Came to town for a show this past weekend saw this place on Google with good reviews so my family and I went in to see what it was about. The design and decor of the restaurant was great. However, when we told the waitress about why we were in town, she then decided to speak poorly of that person, and went on a rant about how she did not like him. Everyone has their own opinions about people, however I felt it was unprofessional talking about other guests like that. My boyfriend and I ordered hamburgers and they were both very dry. I don’t think that we will be going back.
