My go-to dish at a sushi restaurant I haven’t been to is chirashi. There was barely any variety of fish. Mostly imitation crab. Some salmon and tuna that was cut into small chunks (poke bowl style). The dish smelled fishy when brought to the table. The rice was warm like it came fresh out of the rice cooker, and had no real flavor.
My first concern was a sushi restaurant with no sushi bar, so who knows how they’re treating there product. The place is definitely dated, which is fine; but cleanliness is questionable, which is not fine. I can’t say the food was unsafe, but I can say it was terrible.

Queen Moomba
Visiting the area and wanted to get some sushi. Decent selection for nigiri and there are plenty of specialty rolls. The saké we ordered was smooth. I can’t compare it to other places in this area, but all in all, it’s a good place.

Excellent food, at very fair prices. The service can seem rushed at times but the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is a little rustic while still trying to stay true to it’s identity. Overall an amazing eating experience to enjoy time and time again. Excellent value and an extensive menu with options for all!

Update: they continue to impress! Waitress was UNBELIEVABLE. The variety of food we had was awesome. I had yakimandu and hot noodles… exactly what i was craving. Older: What dont I love about this place. Food is fresh and traditional. Love the family atmosphere.

I went there for lunch earlier today and I had the sushi deluxe. I was pleasantly surprised, delicious, and it was very reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly.

Good Food, Fresh Food, But dirt, dusty and lack luster server.
I wanted to give this place a better review because the food was actually good and its local, however, the place was a mess.
The floor was not vacuumed
The cups had crumbs on it
The napkins had spots on them
Nothing seemed wiped
The fish tank was filthy, and the plates didn’t seem cleaned properly.
The waiter seemed kind of out of it when we asked for different cleaner napkins and new chopsticks, for some reason the chopsticks were on the napkin and looked used, like washed and these are the kind of take out chopsticks.
I ate as fast as I could and left to get a drink from another place.
I hope the restaurant can get a once over and clean up, other than that I will stay clear from here.

First time in the area. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Small, unassuming place. Food was good and their 3-roll sushi lunch special was a good value, too.

We came in with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the restaurant could use a deep cleaning, the seating/decor is very tired, and they could benefit from playing some music. However, the service was quick and friendly and the appetizers and sushi we ordered were all great. Food > ambiance.
