This is the best Ramen place in Broward period. I’ve been coming here since 2021. Everything they make is just delicious and tastes so authentic. The tonkotsu Ramen is delicious I always get the Kagoshima special. The taste of the broth is truly divine. The matcha tiramisu is delightful.
I will say a few things that have changed over the years that I’ve noticed since last year which truly break my heart: the chashu is not as soft as it was. I used to brag about how this pork chashu would melt in your mouth of how soft and full of flavor it was. Don’t get me wrong it is still very good just not the same. The soft eggs. You guys are not marinating them anymore and that is also heartbreaking bc no one else does it. Flavor still good but those are little things that make your Ramen top notch.
The service is always pleasant btw. Overall love this place and will continue to come by

Best Ramen in Broward. The menu is simple and traditional. We tried 4 different appetizers and the santuma tonkotsu ramen, each of them was amazing. But the best part is the service, every single person working here was really friendly, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. This is a new spot for Japanese food. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I recently visited Shimuja Ramen, and we went for the Kagoshima Special paired with some warm sake. The Kagoshima Special was really solid—rich, flavorful tonkotsu broth with extra chashu pork, a whole egg, steamed veggies in the middle, and that nice crispy fried burdock root on top for texture and an earthy kick. It felt like a hearty, generous bowl that hits all the right notes for authentic Japanese ramen. The warm sake was a perfect match—smooth, gently heated, and it complemented the savory broth beautifully without overpowering it.
The atmosphere was decent and cozy—nothing flashy, but comfortable and welcoming with a nice Japanese vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Service was friendly and efficient too. Overall, it was a very good experience and I’d definitely go back for more ramen cravings. Just shy of perfect (maybe a touch more seasoning tweak or something minor), but solidly worth it—4 stars!

This used to be a great place back in 2019, now feels branded, you get better costumer service in Denny’s but well I still left 20%, We waited over 30 minutes for our ramens and they were both cold I didn’t complain because there is not reason for a Ramen not to be hot when is served. The only reason I’m giving 2 starts is because the takoyaki are just as I remembered best appetizer ever.

This is a very mixed review because I’m pregnant and sadly I’ve got the whole food aversion thing. We came all the way from Alabama to try this per a recommendation from an acquaintance for my husband’s birthday. We were excited especially since it was rated the best ramem spot in miami for 2 years in a row.
My husband LOVED it and had a 10/10 experience, but the food didn’t settle well with me making my experience closer to a 6/10 when it came to the food.
The smoked salmon onigiri was delicious and their boba tea it pretty good, but I wasn’t impressed with the danburi. Again, I’m pregnant and I’m going through food aversion so I’m willing to give it a second chance next year when I’m nor pregnant, lol.
The staff, however, we’re EXCELLENT and top tier. The ambiance and overall aesthetic was also very nice.

We saw AD in TikTok about this place. Drove all the way from Coral Springs. Not a big place . We came for dinner on Saturday night but we waited for 40 minutes. Do reservations beforehand. I’m fan of Ramen but prefer not to eat pork. After comments in Insta decided to order Tonkatsu and was happy with my choice. Rich taste. I wish they can have options for bigger plates like in Pho places. . Boba Ube was a good too. Bans and fried shrimp was tasty as well .

I saw a review saying that the owner of this ramen restaurant is Japanese. I decided to drive half an hour to try it. I found this store a little hard to find. After arriving, I found out that it was in the same store as Publix. Kagoshima Tonkotsu Ramen is a bit pricey $23! Noodles are bold. The soup has a slightly spicy taste. I think the noodle bowl is really big, but the soup is a bit small. The noodle portion is not big enough. The fried shrimp and pork dumplings were also good. The overall consumption level is relatively high Suitable for people who like to eat original Japanese ramen

Shimuja has some of the best ramen in South Florida. I’ve been here multiple times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The broth is rich and expertly crafted, and the noodles are perfectly al dente.
I recently stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the value: $12 for a bowl of ramen in this economy is almost unheard of. Easy 5 stars.

The most delicious ramen. The cucumber app was also good, the hot sauce! So good! And the service was impeccable. Roxana, thank you for so nice, the broth samples and the best attitude.

Coming from Seattle, I have high standards for Japanese food, esp ramen, but this place is pretty good, uses real pork tonkatsu broth (not just some diluted watery liquid). Very big bowl and chasiu is very thick. The katsu curry is decent.
Only knock is that it’s kind of expensive (at least $20 meal) which is even more expensive than Seattle ramen and katsu.
Service is good, atmosphere gives loungey vibes.
