I just had the JAMAL’s Special Chicken Biryani from Shimla Restaurant, and honestly, it’s the best I’ve ever tasted. Perfect balance of spice, flavour, and aroma – every bite was spot on. Massive respect to Chef Jamal – you can taste the passion and skill in his cooking. The man seriously made my day with this biryani. Chef Jamal deserves a medal! ️

Visited today with my family and friends and had an incredible meal. I’ve admittedly never been in an Indian restaurant, I’ve only had Indian takeaway before and always enjoyed that – this blew all previous experiences out of the water. Great range of selection with descriptions for each dish on the menu, good portion sizes and fantastic service, we were very well taken care of. Will 100% become a regular here.

We got a takeaway and collected the food ourselves, entering the place, staff was super welcoming and friendly.
On Collection of the food, I was given a drink, and a Christmas card. How lovely!
Portions are massive, super delicious and the quality of the food was also incredible.
So pleased with the food, the price and the service. We’ll 100% be back in the future. ☺️

Read the reviews about this restaurant and decided I should place an order.
I ordered chicken tikka with naan.
As an Indian, I was very very disappointed. The gravy was overly sweet, which is not how chicken tikka masala should taste. The chicken was chewy too!
Naan was dry and chewy!
The flavor seemed to be more tailored to western palates, lacking the authentic spices and savory richness typically expected.

The best Indian food I have ever had, outside of India itself. Cuisine leans to the northern India style, and is to die for. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommended the tandoori chicken wings, and the tandoori chicken main. Lamb tikka was also excellent. I’ll be back for sure, any time that I’m in Belfast!

Yesterday, I tried this place. It’s not an Indian restaurant; it’s a purely Bangladeshi restaurant, and the taste is completely different from Indian cuisine. The food felt like plain chili rice and didn’t even meet basic Indian taste standards not even by one percent. If you’re looking for authentic Indian flavors, it’s better to skip this place. Totally disappointed.

Food is absolutely amazing as pure usual although the food is a 10/10 I’m not sure who’s running that place right now I had my food schedule between 5/5.30 it didn’t arrive until 6.30 there was items missing from my order and that whole delivery experience was so off putting i rang the restaurant 20 times left a voicemail no answer no call back nothing at all the way they deal with their customers that order for delivery really isn’t good iwl

Fantastic Indian in East Belfast, I have only ever got takeaway but the food, service and pricing is excellent. I have had a few issues with missing items though so I always check my order in the car before driving back home! Other than that I cannot fault it. A*
