I ordered a Bengali Sea Bass Fish Curry with 2 chapatis. The portions of fish were almost negligible. The chapatis were the cheapest cardboard tasting awful I have ever been served. I am Asian and I appreciate most of the custom is Caucasian White. This should be no excuse to serve under rated food.

I was really disappointed with the food on this visit. Unfortunately, none of the dishes lived up to expectations, the flavours were very flat and the overall quality just wasn’t there.
On a positive note, the service was absolutely fine. The staff were polite and attentive, which I appreciated.
Sadly, the food let the experience down, and I wouldn’t rush back based on this visit.

Such a wonderful place!!!! Best paratha I’ve ever had in England (seriously please try), the food was superb, the beer was cold, the korma was absolutely delicious, nice ambience and decoration, very quiet and friendly, and with nice people working in it! And the best part, is easy free parking.
Highly recommend 🙂 ❤️

One of the best Indian meals we’ve had in the UK. 5* Food, lovely staff, lovely decor and really happy to have found this place on the way back from St Ives. Will definitely stop here again in the future and recommend anyone else to stop by too.
Free parking on site, easy access and very clean.
All food high quality and very reasonably priced also.

I have arrived for a takeaway this evening and spent quite a lot of money in this Shipla restaurant. After 45 mins drive , unboxing this food to find under cooked chicken which could make someone very ill & poorly also the Tarka Dahl full of tape water diabolical. They found a. Cucumber in my salad which was so dry looked like it position it self for several months . For any pre new customers I would highly avoid this restaurant due to the lack of service and food and hygiene standards . The business refused to give my money back so I will be contacting trading standards plus the health and safety hygiene team … HIGHLY AVOID THIS RESTAURANT WILL MAKE YOU ILL AND YOU WILL HAVE VERY LIMTED SERVICE TO DEAL WITH …
Thank you

The food was not authentic. All the dishes were very sweet with no spices or flavor. Really disappointed.
The butter chicken was a huge disappointment, with no actual taste of garam masala or the signature butter flavor. Instead it was a yellow thick sweet curry with desiccated coconut. Will not be ordering from Shilpa’s again.

Yet another little gem of a Indian restaurant/takeaway. I ordered a chicken patia with onion and garlic rice. Onion bhaji and a keema nan and I have to say the taste and quality of the food was outstanding its well worth a visit…

Set on the corner of a roundabout at the entrance to Papworth Village near Cambridge, this family run restaurant is a delight and a find. The meal – I had the Kala Cashew Nut curry with Kashmir (almond, coconut and sultana) rice with melt in the mouth onion bhajis – was cooked to perfection and the flavours delightful and aromatic. I love Indian food and this is the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Set in a former pub, the surroundings are also delightful and the team polite and attentive. My compliments to the chef and kitchen team. Thank you Shilpa.

Disappointed. My first time ordering takeaway from Shilpa and I have never had this type of Indian food. I believe the food was tweaked to be bland. I don’t think the food should be changed to meet the demographic preferences of the area. If I was in India they would not make the food different if they were serving to a non Indian person. They make the food the same spice and taste for everyone. I never asked for bland or non spicy so I believe the food should be prepared traditionally. As an Indian person who has gone to India many times I can say this food was appalling. The roti was stale, tasted like shop brought or a day old. Rice was bland. And the curry… I ordered the butter chicken and all I can say is I have never seen butter chicken like this in my life. It was bland, the meat was not marinated. The colour is usually a bright dark orange and taste is usually creamy and rich in spices. This was far from the traditional butter chicken.
All the food was cold too.
I ordered a starter of tandoori meat, butter chicken, garlic rice, 2 chapati and 1 Nan. This cost £35. Very poor value for money and will not be eating from here again.

Really good place with amazing Indian food.
Love that tingling feeling after tasty food.
Sorry for putting just two pictures but main was looking so amazing that I simply forgot to take pictures before enjoying in meal.
Staff is also needed to be mentioned, excellent and fast service close enough to help in every way but not to disturb your meal.
