great service & hot pot experience. shoyu broth is much too salty for my taste, but i tried the tom yum recently on another visit and it was excellent. really enjoyed the kyoto matcha IPA and bar service was *fantastic* despite it being a busy friday night. like any other hot pot spot, the items add up quickly, so prepare accordingly if you and your dining companion have varying taste buds. shikku is a great addition to plymouth and is comparable to hot pot spots in the boston area but modified to fit local tastes/hot pot newbies. check ’em out. 🙂

I had such a great experience at this hot pot restaurant in Plymouth! Austin, our bartender, was absolutely amazing. He was so attentive, helped guide us through the whole hot pot process, and made the most delicious drinks. On top of that, he was genuinely personable and made us feel so welcome at the bar. This was actually my second time sitting at the bar with him, and he’s been incredible both times.
The service truly makes all the difference in an experience, and Austin really elevated our night. We will definitely be back!

Our family was excited to try this place. We had simple hot pot and fried rice for lunch. Fried rice was a bit salty. Beef was small portion and 1/3 fat (too fat).

What a fun time!!! My kids love the rice ducks for hot pot and the crispy chicken bao buns on special. Great environment amazing food, we will be back and recommend for family experiences!

Shikku is such an amazing restaurant!! I’ve been here several times with family and friends and i’ve never had a bad experience. All the servers are very attentive and just such sweet people. They have a wide variety of items to choose from as well as cooked dishes in case hot pot isn’t your thing 🙂 Everything is so flavorful. The decor is absolutely beautiful, making the dining experience even better. 10/10 every time and I recommend it to everyone.

Limited selection of food compared to other hot pot places. If you are looking for a wide variety I suggest Hungry Hot pot, lots more food for the same price ($35 all you can eat) (which is grill as well). The beef liver smelled like urine once cooked, which usually only happens if the meat is old or has been in contact with bile. It also was frozen like an ice cube, could not be separated. This is not common for hotpot despite what the owner says. I’m sure there will be a bitter comment under this post. If comparing this to other hot pot I suggest trying places closer to boston, you get a better experience with better food for around the same price, not frozen blocks of meat stuck together, you also get an entire sauce bar as well. It’s so odd that they preach having a big menu, look at other hot pot places online and it really is no comparison. I tried this restaurant when they had first opened and I am sad to see nothing has changed in that sense.

Shikku Hot Pot is a small spot on Court St in Plymouth. Love the vibe there! They have a bar & cool decor. If it’s busy, you may be placed at a table with another party. They have lots of good food options – from small plates to a selection of ingredients for building your own bowl. Each person gets their own small stove top. It’s a bit pricey – the build your own bowl can end up easily being $30. The portions are decent though & you can take your leftovers home. The service was great – waiters were very friendly & attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

We had no clue how to get started, but the waitress was so kind and helped us with ordering food and cooking it. The food tasted amazing and was so fresh. The service was fantastic and the staff was so attractive. We were seated in the basement of the restaurant, which was perfect for a party of 5. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming. If you are in town, I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wow is all I can say! This is the closest thing to Boston China town on the south shore, we had a great experience. The Shikku fried rice was exceptional. I would recommend to anyone who has the chance, to make it down to Shikku Hot Pot. Not only was the food excellent but so is the service and the atmosphere. Wait staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for a great night out!

Amazing place! The scenery inside, the lighting and the woodwork along the wall kept the experience interesting and entertaining with relaxing music. The food was spectacular, I ordered House broth with fresh ramen and shitake mushrooms, bean sprouts and bok choi with beef ribeye. It was very tasty and a fulfilling experience. I look forward to enjoying the fine quality service at this plymouth location! I highly suggest getting everything you like and you can eat any way you want, piece by piece or throw it all in the pot! Just be careful it does not over boil over! There are also custom heat settings for you to choose from and our waitress was very experienced at explaining the operations as it was my first time. My next birthday will be held here 100%!!!
