Randomly found Shier’s while in town and I’m glad I did. I did not get a pasty, which could be a miss, however the simple ham sandwich was amazing. Packed with smoked ham, fresh lettuce, tomato and mayo. Just right. The Ruben was delicious too. A hidden little gem in Midland!

THIS IS YHE PLACE TO BE RIGHT-AFTER 2PM; if you love gleaming sun-rays through the window, a sense of home-cooking, with the intangibles of silence and a little bit-of romanticization, or Americana, this s the place you want to be. I’m sure they’re hustling and bustling in the morning and Afternoon-LUNCH. But if you like your sandwich with a side of relaxation, mild music, and the white-noise of Beverage coolers is what you want: AND I HAVEN’T MENTIONED “THE SMOKING JOE” BRISKET SANDWICH which is just melt-in-your-mouth delicious, on so slightly toasted bun that let’s feel the crunch without scarring your mouth. This is the kind of place you can sit with yourself, and truly not have your thoughts interrupted by anything but the sound of your chewing. The Owners are SUPER-FRIENDLY and disappear into the background with making any noise. IT TRULY IS A TOWN-SANCTUARY!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our son is a student is a student at Purdue University in Indiana and always requests Shier’s Pasties when we go down to visit him. He especially appreciates that they have beef, chicken and vegetable options since his roommate doesn’t eat beef. Thanks for the wonderful food and service!

I personally think this family deserves a larger space with more seating for some of the best food in Midland! Along with kind owners and a smoker rolling with delish foods all the time, you can’t get a better beef pasty in Michigan! The best!!

Sorry for the low score but we had your stomachs ready for a lunch and they were closed due to illness, needless to say disappointed. Very bad response YOU own the business it should be properly staffed for hours posted if employees are sick it IS your responsibility to be there to keep it open for business. We will never stop there and will tell everyone i see not to eat there. Other people warned us about place we wanted to see for selves and they were right !!

Amazing pastys on hot pasty Monday and Wednesday. Delicious just like I remember them from the UP. I will be coming back here for sure! Staff was extremely friendly, service was quick. Bathrooms are shared by several businesses and are a little sketchy, but that’s ok, the rest of this place makes up for it. Great small town restaurant!

Wow, incredible food and service at Shier’s Pasties and More. The beef pasty with gravy was out of this world. Love the crust design as well as the rich full flavor of the pasty. Very filling food. Great vegetarian options too.
