After going to Sugarfish for years we decided to try Shibuya. There was a short wait (weekday lunch) and we were in. The menu had many interesting items. I enjoyed ordering ala carte and we tried a number of the rolls and some sushi. Everything was perfect. You can tell that there were very experienced sushi chefs using the best ingredients.

Our first time here and thibking mat be the last…all because of ridiculous wait time, and it ruined the whole experience. Put our name on waitlist at 6 pm, and we were only seated at 9 pm. People were taking theirs sweet time 2-2.5 hrs eating dinner, without any consuderation for people that are waiting outside. And the worst part of all this was that we found out that the young owners of this place were sitting at the bar, taking up space instead of customers, and also taking their time, 2hrs. Management needs to make a 90-minute rule since the place is so busy on weekends, with such a limited space.

We drove for one hour just to eat here. We arrived at 5:10pm and they open at 5pm. We put our names in and we waited over 2 hours to be seated. We sat at the sushi bar and it was very crowded with no elbow room. The chef worked quickly and we got our food fast. The food is good and fresh but a 2 hour wait is too long for me.

First time visitor, came on a Saturday BEWARE of long lines. Arrived at 5:15 and then got seated around 7:30 ish. Food was great service wasn’t bad. Albacore was a standout of the night!! The crispy onions are an additional 2$. If what just go for the albacore sashimi with ponzu.

We drove over 2 hours, then waited about an hour to be seated and it was totally worth it! Best sushi experience I’ve ever had! The chefs there are literally making pieces of art for you. Amazing food, amazing service and very cozy place too. Don’t hesitate from the long wait because the food is really that good! And the prices are reasonable 10/10

Must visit Sushi place when in LA!!! Best time to visit: weekday lunch. Arrive as early as 11:30am (they open 12 noon). If you are lucky, you will be seated right away during the first seating. Dinner would be a different story….

I don’t get the hype. You have to wait a really long time to sit down, there’s no take away anymore and it’s not better or worse than other sushi joints in a 15 mile radius :

We ordered takeout from Shibuya, but the wait was over 3 hours. The quality of the food is nothing special, but employees were all very nice. Would come back for the stuffed squid!

Small spot but well worth the wait. Took about 45 min to seat the three of us. The place itself isn’t all that impressive but it doesn’t matter. The food is the star of the show. From the uni to the toro, my taste buds were in magic town. One of the best spots for sushi in LA. But don’t go there, you’ll make my wait time longer. And I’m not a fan of that.
